Publisher's Summary

Witemeyer returns with her trademark blend of adventure, romance, and humor.

Grace Mallory is tired of running, of hiding. But when an old friend sends an after-hours telegraph transmission warning Grace that the man who has hunted her for nearly a year has discovered her location, she fears she has no choice. She can't let the villain she believes responsible for her father's death release his wrath in Harper's Station, the town that has sheltered her and blessed her with the dearest friends she's ever known.

Amos Bledsoe prefers bicycles to horses and private conversations over the telegraph wire to social gatherings with young ladies who see him as nothing more than an oddity. His telegraph companion, the mysterious Miss G, listens eagerly to his ramblings every night and delights him with tales all her own. For months, their friendship - dare he believe, courtship? - has fed his hope that he has finally found the woman God intended for him. Yet when he takes the next step to meet her in person, he discovers her life is in peril, and Amos must decide if he can shed the cocoon of his quiet nature to become the hero Grace requires.

Excellent

So vividly written and narrated, it felt like I was watching a movie instead of listening to words. Excellent message delivered as well that ministered to me. Very entertaining with excitement, mystery, adventure, depth of character and romance.

Narrator made me not care for it.

I love this author, and the story line was good, however, the I didn't care for the narrator. Her attempt at making voice impressions was terrible. She also read it too slow at times. I almost didn't finish the book because it was so annoying. If there was a different narrator, I would have rated it higher.

Another Great Sequel :)

I just can't get enough of these books and the Women and Harper station, they are so powerful and inspiring and the message of these books are amazing :D
I LOVED Grace and Amos as a couple and I shipped them very much since their connection ran deeper than a mere attraction, and the other couple Helen and Lee <3 <3
this book was a what I was looking for in my current mood and it definitely delivered .. good job

The Narration though wasn't that good specially the voice of Amos, he sounded like a female child and I couldn't engage with him that much .. other than that the book was great :)

So So

I own every book written by Karen Witemeyer. I have always enjoyed her books. However, I must admit that the earlier books are better. I purchased this book on Audible I would probably have enjoyed it better had I just read it. Sadly, the narrator did not help the book. I did not like the voice given to the main male character at all.

Another well written story.

The story never lagged and was full of action and likable characters. Will continue to read this author.
