Critic Reviews

"Roberts is triumphant in realizing fully developed characters, as both Trevor and Darcy turn out to be vulnerable human beings with appealingly ordinary hopes and dreams." ( Publishers Weekly)

Heart of the Sea

Would you consider the audio edition of Heart of the Sea to be better than the print version?

I did not read the print version but I would assume so.. listening to a story about the Irish with someone reading it with the Irish accent adds to the story.

Any additional comments?

I was sad when the series was over, I loved listening to Irish having Irish background my self. Feeling like old friends who are now gone .

Terrible narration.

That was the most cringe worthy audible experience I have had. Could not finish the book.

Number one fan of Nora Roberts!

I not only liked this book it’s my favorite of all three. I have read (heard) since I am hearing it for the fifth time and will listen again in a few months time. Darcy is my favorite character since book one. I have told everyone who will listen to me about these books. Though these three are running neck to neck with the McGreger series.

Great End to a Wonderful Trilogy

This book is the best out of the series. I was sad to have it end. The characters and story line was so well developed and came together beautifully.
This book kept me interested the entire time!

Brilliant

By far one of my favorite trilogies of all time! I laughed, I cried, Nora Roberts is amazing. The Narrator was fantastic and sweeps you along this lovely Irish town, portraying characters remarkably well. I love all three of these books in the Irish Jewel Trilogy.

Recommended

This third story and conclusion of this series is as strong as the beginning. One of the things I most like about this series is how different each story is yet builds one on top of another. I would say it is best to read the entire series in order to get the full understanding.

Darcy and Trevor both have strong personalities. Watching while they stumble around is fun and interesting.

Over the course of this series Patricia Daniel's has done a great job narrating. In this last stories I saw it start to crack down a bit, especially toward the end. It was adequate but the attention to dialect and who was talking with what voice had some problems.

Excellent finish for top Roberts trilogy

Fitting finish to this trilogy of the Gallaghers of Ardmore. We find out that Darcy does have the heart she hides behind her vocal intent to have riches.
This is one of, if not THE best of Roberts’ trilogies; with characters that you absolutely love and wish were your friends and family.
Daniels does a decent enough job of narration.

Nice story, ok wrap up

This story was ok. I liked the setting and some of the characters but felt the story in this was the weakest of the three. I'm a sucker for the Irish story lines though, so I enjoyed it.

wont stop me from trying again

As romances go, it had all the requirements, with a little fairy magic thrown in, however, the reader was American and tried to do and Irish accent, being Irish, it made me cringe, it was as bad as Dick Van Dikes cockney in Mary Poppins. She also once got her American and Irish people mixed up. I had to stop listening. I may go back to it later on but for now........

Lovely finish to the trilogy

Is wasn’t as satisfying as the first two books more a book to cause anxiety as the main characters are both so Stubborn in there mannerisms. I felt that I wanted to hit them over the head to tell them to wake up and speak out.
