MAVERICK GOLD

Before I met Theo, I was fine with occasional hookups and drowning myself in work. I didn't realize how burnt out I was getting until he came into my life and showed me what a good time really meant, roping me into situations that blew my mind (among other things).

Both our worlds get rocked completely off course when Theo receives shocking news that changes everything. Meanwhile, the stalker obsessed with my family takes their attacks to a whole new level. The situation pushes us into leaving New York and going to my family's animal sanctuary, where Theo and I grow even closer while the threats grow deadlier.

THEODORE PEREZ

I never imagined myself falling for someone, especially not as hard as I fell for Maverick Gold. But life surprises you sometimes.

Surprises in life, in the bedroom, in my job at Stonewall Investigations. One thing remained constant throughout: my explosive chemistry with Mav.

That connection is what helped me handle the shocking news that was dropped into my lap one day, altering the entire course of my life. At the same time that I found myself working on the biggest case of my career.

Yeah, life definitely likes surprises.

Contains mature themes.

Good book series.

The series was good, I like how the author ties his series in with his other series.

Surprise ending

Great third book. a lot of answers in this story. a great relationship and a baby. Max Walker wrote a great series. Greg Boudreaux did a wonderful job bringing this story and series to life, he gives such personality to each character. I loved this series. well worth the credit and your time to listen.

enjoyed it

******** THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS ***********

📖 Story comment: reasonable pace, likeable characters.
Overall I enjoyed the story, I liked both Mav and Theo's characters (although too much s*xy time for me until Theo's world gets turned upside down). Time-line felt rushed, like there was a word limit and the story needed to be compacted to within that limit because there was a lot going on at times and I would have liked things a little more fleshed out,
- and listening to the series back to back ... I have questions ....

Overall though, I enjoyed this series. This instalment tied up "The Dove" storyline nicely and I've enjoyed my time with the Gold Brothers.

🎧 Narrator comment: Greg Boudreaux can do no wrong (in my opinion). He suits the characters, has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. An enjoyable performance and he bought the story to life.

Too much baby; no character development

2 was decent. Book 1 and 3 were meh... 3 would make a Lifetime movie. That's not a selling point for me. Everything was *too* "this is all so damned amazing, except this 3 minutes where I freak and, oh look, angels are singing again because mom hugged me and said something sappy about love." Greg B, as always, did an amazing job narrating.

Great story but it felt rushed

This was another great installment in the series. Greg was fantastic as usual. but it felt a bit rushed to me. No character development . I caught myself scrambling to understand who was who and how they fit into the story. Had to rewind multiple times, thinking I must have zoned out and missed how each character came to be. Otherwise, I loved it
