East Coast, Book 1

My new neighbor is a jerk. Sure, he's the embodiment of tall, dark, and handsome. But he has managed to become enemy number one within the first forty-eight hours of moving into the apartment next door. I may have retaliated and escalated the situation. I'm not above being petty, and I'm determined to make him break first.

Until he sees my cheating ex-boyfriend giving me a hard time outside our building and steps in to help. If it weren't for the pictures in the press the next morning, I would've assumed his act of kindness was just a fever dream. But my face is everywhere—labeled as hockey star Trenton Ward's new girlfriend.

Now, my grumpy neighbor's agent wants to run with this story. Apparently, his image needs some sprucing. I agree under one circumstance: I get to use him for inspiration in the new romance book I'm working on.

I swear I meant it in the figurative sense when I signed the contract.

Trenton turns into my experimental guinea pig for all my spicy scenes. I may be fake dating one of the NHL's best goalies, but out of all the things we do, faking it is not one of them.

Only, falling in love wasn't in the fine print.

Fun story lots of spice!

Loved the story and the characters. Some repetitive phrases and descriptive language but overall a fun read!

“Red is officially my new favorite color. And you’re my new favorite flavor.”

This was a fun quick listen. I really enjoyed the story and the narration. Amy Hall and Ash Beverly did a really good job of bringing the characters to life.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Trenton and Cassidy, and how well they understood each other thanks to their similar histories with their exes.

The story had a little bit of everything. There were moments that were hilarious, like Trenton's fear of Candy, and the airplane book club. But it also had more serious and emotional aspects, like the visit to Trenton's grandma, and Cassidy's relationship with her parents.

Quote: “I’d like to think that I’d choose you regardless of fate or some divine intervention. In any version of how this played out, I would’ve fallen in love with you because you’re the woman of my dreams. You’re the person I’ve been hoping to find. Everything feels right with you.”

much needed HEA after reading some darker material. love the banter in this one and it had good character development to pair with the spicy scenes. ❤️

Fun story and adorable birds

Great narrators and fun story. Fake dating done professionally by the romance smut writer and a professional Hockey player. What could be more fun?!

Banter so much!

The banter between the main characters and his teammates is so well written and hilarious. I enjoyed reading about an author writing one of my favorite genre. If you want a laugh and love, definitely read.
