Number-One New Release in Romance

The number-one New York Times best-selling author of Verity and It Ends With Us delivers another breathtaking novel with a magnetic suspense that will keep you glued to your device.

"This book deserves a whole galaxy of stars, but alas, five is all I can give." (Shades of Rebecca)

Life and a dismal last name are the only two things Beyah's parents ever gave her. After carving her path all on her own, Beyah is well on her way to bigger and better things, thanks to no one but herself. With only two short months separating her from the future she's built and the past she desperately wants to leave behind, an unexpected death leaves Beyah with no place to go during the interim.

Forced to reach out to her last resort, Beyah has to spend the remainder of her summer on a peninsula in Texas with a father she barely knows. Beyah's plan is to keep her head down and let the summer slip by seamlessly, but her new neighbor Samson throws a wrench in that plan.

Samson and Beyah have nothing in common on the surface.

She comes from a life of poverty and neglect; he comes from a family of wealth and privilege. But one thing they do have in common is that they're both drawn to sad things. Which means they're drawn to each other.

Beyah and Samson agree to stay in the shallow end of a summer fling. What Beyah doesn't realize is that a rip current is coming, and it's about to drag her heart out to sea.

Comments from a reader

This is a good romance novel. I liked how the characters overcame their difficult pasts. There is a snag in the storyline, but still worth reading.

Broken People know Broken People

This book is emotional and perfect. As someone who grew up with the Alcoholic and Drug addict for parents it touched my heart in ways only sad people could probably understand. Some feeling can't even be explained. My heart bone did feel a bit of healing of its own. It's one hell of a book. I'm grateful when an author writes the truth. Life is messy. Sometimes way too messy; but to even have hope...that there will be light at the end of the tunnel can be exhausting. This book is a book I will read again and again. Thank you Colleen Hoover. Everyone should give this book a chance. It's worth it.

Loved!!!

Beyah's mother dies of an overdose. She calls her die to get a ticket to go visit him, it's been years since she's seen him. While Beyah is staying at her dad's house, she meets Samson. They are total opposites economically. This is the second book i've listened to by Colleen Hoover and i loved it. I like Beyah, she's a sad sack and relatable. I was hooked after the first page. I gotta know what happens to Beyah. If all Colleen's books are this good like this one and Verity then i guess i'll be busy listening to all her books.

Is there anything Colleen Hoover can’t do?!?

I have made it a goal to read/listen to all of Hoover’s books. So far, I love all of them! Seriously, I keep waiting for one that feels a little so-so, but they are all amazing. She’s such a great writer and I love the way she weaves her stories together and keeps me hooked. In addition to this book, read Verity, Regretting You, It Ends with Us and Hopeless!! Happy reading/listening!

Never disappoints

Colleen Hoover always makes you feel so many emotions at once with all her books. I have yet to find one of her books that I can say wasn’t perfect.

Feel it in my Heartbones!

Another reread but I still feel all the feelings as the 1st time. I absolutely adore all the character and their journies.
I don't think I'll ever find a CoHo book that I don't absolutely love.
