The Presidential Agent adventures return, in the most surprising novel yet in the #1 Wall Street Journal – and New York Times–bestselling series.
Mexican drug cartels are shooting up the streets of Laredo and El Paso. Somali pirates are holding three U.S. tankers for ransom. The President of the United States is fed up and, as Commander in Chief, has what he thinks is a pretty bright idea — to get hold of Colonel Charley Castillo and his merry band and get them on the case.
Unfortunately, that will be difficult. Everybody knows that the President hates Castillo’s guts, and has just had him forcibly retired from the military, and now Castillo’s men are scattered far and wide, many of them in hiding. There are also whispers that the President himself is unstable — the word “nutcake” has been mentioned.
How will it all play out? No one knows for sure, but for Castillo and company, only one thing is definite: This is going to be hazardous duty.

I think it’s fair to say if you’re on book 6 or seven you’re pretty much know the history of the characters and it’s just a little annoying that they keep going back to it. It’s obviously just padding to make the words longer.
Enjoy this series but…….

Would you try another book from W.E.B. Griffin and William E. Butterworth and/or Dick Hill?
Yes - I love the Presidential Agent Series - but Hazardous Duty was to much like Mash. This series went form best selling to making a joke of a very well written seriesWould you recommend Hazardous Duty to your friends? Why or why not?
No - Not like 1 - 7. Book 8 was very disappointingDid the narration match the pace of the story?
yesWas Hazardous Duty worth the listening time?
I had nothing else to do. I waited 3 months for the release and ended up with mash instead of book eight of this seriesNot At All Like 1st Seven - Please No More

What did you like best about Hazardous Duty? What did you like least?
I really love reading WEB Griffin. I usually listen to the last book in a series before a new book. This book takes the first 1/2 and does that for me.If you’ve listened to books by W.E.B. Griffin and William E. Butterworth before, how does this one compare?
WEB Griffin is a great story teller, this book seemed long since it had a lot of review of other books. What three words best describe Dick Hill’s voice?
Dick Hill is a voice.Any additional comments?
In WEB Griffin earlier books he assumed we knew what we are reading a series and know the people in the book, with some review of the previous books.Half of book is review of series
