Publisher's summary

Welcome to Haunted Liverpool 33 - an extraordinary collection of supernatural stories by cult writer Tom Slemen. In this amazing book, you will listen to the mysterious vampiress who stalked Anfield Cemetery during World War II, the terrifying entity known as the Lockdown Dream Demon, as well as the eerie but sad tale of the Girl with the Cobwebbed Face, and you shall be enthralled with a series of weird tales that revolve around the Tarot. Tom Slemen also documents many more timeslip mysteries and looks at the account of two men who built a working time machine.

In Haunted Liverpool 33, you will hear about murderous goblins, a plethora of chilling stories about the devil, and a former criminal who discovered what seems to have been a wishing tree. You will meet angels, fairies, ghosts, witches, elves, and there are even two romantic stories about people who fell hopelessly in love with ghosts. These are just some of the uncanny yet fascinating stories contained in this volume of Haunted Liverpool - so listen to it at your own peril....

A delicious helping of true tales

Great collection of true tales and old stories that are said to have really happened. In this one, my favorites are the chapters regarding time slips. Those stories always grab me and hold my attention. Plain old ghosts and even ufo sightings don't thrill me the way they did when I was a kid, but I still love them, so books like this will always appeal to me. I love collections that are eclectic and charged with paranormal power.

I had no idea there were 33 books in this collection. It just goes to show you how weird things out there really are. I've had my own experiences with the things that go bump in the night, and so I love listening to stories that other people tell of their own encounters. I'd love to step off a curb and pop back 50 or sixty years ago. This book puts you front and center with each story. I like listening to stuff like this when I lay down to sleep. I find it relaxing.

The best part of this book, though, is the narration by Nigel Peever. A true favorite and go-to narrator, I've just come to the conclusion that he could make the reading of a two-thousand-step-by-step-tech manual seem fun and interesting, but if I'm honest, his voice was made for this book. He does a wonderful job all-around with effects and music, aside from having a magical voice that might haunt you when you're alone.

Creepy unusual short stories

Creepy unusual short stories with great narration and sound effects. The narration by Nigel Peever is excellent and the added sound effects add more to the stories.

A collection of paranormal tales. This is my first volume of Haunted Liverpool and I will listen to other volumes. This is not my normal type of listening but the stories are chilling, entertaining, spooky and more.

IF CREEPY STORIES ARE YOUR THING READ THIS!

I just finished listening to HAUNTED LIVERPOOL 33 BY TOM SLEMEN and in my humble opinion this should get a 20 on my seriously creepy stories meter! Eighteen plus hours of tales from the creepy. Ghosts, witches and time slipping just to name a few. HAUNTED LIVERPOOL 33 also has some bizarre sound effects to enhance your experience ! The narrator Nigel Peever did an excellent job not only with the character voices but with helping make the book just a little more creepier !

HAUNTED LIVERPOOL 33 is my first exposure to Mr Slemens writing and I cant wait to listen to more. I love to be scared, the more the merrier and HAUNTED LIVERPOOL 33 gave me the chilly willy's in some places !

I recieved this audiobook free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Creepy, scary stories

Haunted Liverpool 33 by Tom Slemen is a collection of spooky stories of witches, ghosts, fairies and other supernatural creatures. My favorites were Princess Bonnie and the Supernatural Toys. The narration and sound effects by Nigel Peever was absolutely wonderful. His performance brought the stories to life.

More Thrilling, Chilling, Unusual Tales

This is the latest edition of the wonderful Haunted Liverpool series. This is one of my favorite book series. As usual, it is filled with weird, unusual and chilling tales of the paranormal in Liverpool. These are stories you won't find anywhere else. The digital books are an incredible value. Over 20 stories in print and on audio. You should definitely hear the audio version, it contains excellent narration by Nigel Peever, music and sound effects. I have nearly all of them. These tales are found by the author, some shared by listeners to his radio shows and he does extensive research. The crown jewel of haunted books, you won't be disappointed.

entertaining

Another spooktackular experience. I especially likes Witchery because it was just deserts and payback; and the woman with scissor was quite humorous. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life. The sound effects were great.
