Brilliant Series!!

This series just keeps on getting better!!

Hanks Radio: Stefan Korzh has gone into hiding and is trying to stay below the radar, but that doesn't stop him from sending out more haunted items! This time it's a radio that is inhabited by Hank. His choice of victims are lonely, elderly ladies. His seductive voice draws them to him and he viciously kills them. But Stefan makes a mistake, and someone is on his tail! Is this the end?

I devoured this edition of the series!! It was more action packed and dare I say, even a little darker than the rest. We almost have 3 separate stories tying this all together. First is Stefan and Bontoc. Bontoc is hired by Ariana and her father to find Stefan and kill him. He eventually tracks Stefan down and sees that he has encased himself in an impenetrable fortress, but to Bontoc it's a mild inconvenience. He is one tough cookie and I can't wait to see more from him!!

Then we have Victor, who is also intent on tracking Stefan down, but before he does, he has to deal with the items Korzh is sending out. His focus is on the radio and he has to call in Shane Ryan to help. I'm always happy to see Shane back and here is no different!! I love that the author crosses over his series. My heart goes out to Victor. He just wants revenge but Stefan keeps sending out things and people are still dying, so he knows his first thing to do, is to stop innocent people from getting hurt, then he can set his sights on taking Stefan down. You can feel the tension is at breaking point with Victor and I'm nervous to see what the author does next!!

Last but not least, we have Tom. Victor has told him to stay safe while he goes and deals with Hank, but Tom gets information and a picture of Stefan and decides to follow a lead. This could just lead to his death because one of the items Victor and Jeremy had dealt with. is back in play and comes into contact with Tom!!

So ya, this book was brilliant! I was on the edge of my seat throughout and felt like my heart would break out of my chest! Each of the books in this series feel like they are leading to an spic and explosive end, and I for one, can't wait to see where the author takes it. I've grown to love these characters and grown to love the world the author has created. This author knows how too give the reader chills and this one chilled me to the bone. Mr Ripley can't write fast enough in my opinion.

The Burning Girl: This series just keeps getting better and better! I know I've said that before but it totally does!!! There is so many things happening at the same time, that you don't know what to expect!! Book 5 sees Stefan Korzh unleashing the fire bug that is Molly! Molly loves fire and when her book is acquired by a hoarder, she finds an unsuspecting boy and creates havoc in the form of burning buildings and people. Victor and Tom have to stop her before it's too late. Tom also has to deal with a ghost of his own who wants control over him! Stefan is still being his creepy self. Nicholas and Ariana will try anything to get to Stefan and Anne is still on the loose.

The plot of this one was a little darker than previous ones. Molly loves fire and loves seeing it burn everything and anything. Her book comes into the hands of a creepy hoarder dude who has some serious problems!! This guy is one of the creepiest characters I've read in a while too!! Anyway, reading about Molly gave me the creeps, she was one messed up girl.

Tom is really growing up! I liked that he is trying to have a bit of normal in all the madness. Himself and Iris are so cute!! I'm intrigued to know more about Ezekiel too and am loving the introduction of Chaos and can't wait to see more of him in future books. All the characters were well written and developed, and you can't help but like them!!

In all, this was the best in the series so far. It was extremely fast paced and entertaining. I'm loving this series and am always on the lookout for the next one.

Knife in the Dark: Here we are at book 6 and the story is still fresh and exciting! This one takes a turn I didn't expect and even though it was totally different than the rest of the series, it worked really well and added an extra twist to the plot.

As per usual, Stefan Korzh unleashes more mayhem by selling off the haunted items, this time it's a class ring that's haunted by a killer who loves to stab and eat his victims. Victor has to team up with Ariana this time in order to try to stop Korzh before more innocents die. Tom finds himself in trouble with the intriguing Leanne and he is in a race for his life! Meanwhile Stefan is getting more and more erratic and is in fear of his life of Anne. He thinks he needs to step up his selling of the objects before it's too late.

The plot was fast paced and addicting! So many things are happening and it feels like everything is going to come to a head soon!! I don't know how many books are planned for the series, but I feel like Stefan Korzh is going to get what's coming to him soon, and I can't wait!! His character is one of the worst I've ever read. He delights in murdering innocent people and is such a vile human being!! I admire the author for writing him in such a way that everyone will loathe him. Usually a villain will have a glimmer of niceness but not this fellow. He is evil to the core.

The rest of the characters are as awesome as always. Victor doesn't know how to handle the attention from Ariana, but he knows that he needs help stopping Korzh and has no choice but to team up with her. I'm loving seeing these two together!! They are so different yet I'm really hoping their relationship goes a little further. I'm rooting for them :) Tom is loving his own life at the moment, until he is kidnapped by.... something. Tom has really grown as a character and I'm intrigued to find out where the author will take him now!

In all, this book was amazing. I devoured it and am so looking forward to the next one. Luckily, this author writes fast and it's out soon!! I urge everyone to try this series!!

Thom Bowers does a great job reading this series. I feel like he "gets" the characters because he brings each of them alive! He is always clear and has plenty of tones and voices for the array of different characters.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Another great set

I love that these collections are available. I love Ron Ripley’s world! I was a little hesitant to get behind the LouAnne bit since it seems like such a journey away from what’s been established, but it just pulls you in!

The fun continues.

The Haunted Collection is another great series from Ron Ripley. In this second 3-book collection (books 4-6), we once again join Victor and Tom in their quest to recover haunted objects that are wreaking havoc on the innocent. I used this example in my review of the first volume (books 1-3) but it really does warrant repeating, these book remind me so much of the old Friday the 13th TV series, which similarly revolves around an antique shop that sold cursed objects and the quest to recover them. It's a fun, somewhat campy show, but that's where the similarities end. Ron's books are more intense, gritty, graphic. I really would love to see what HBO/Netflix/A&E could do bringing the series to screen. Once again Thom Bowers does an excellent job with the narration.

I received a copy of this audio title in exchange for an unbiased review.

Haunted Collection books 4 to 6

The continued reading of this series was so much fun but also scary. Book 4 was about a haunted radio and a killer who enjoyed killing older ladies. Book 5 was about an arsonist teenager. The 6th book was about a class ring and the killer attached to it. These stories kept me up at night and I lost track of time listening to the great narrator. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Mom and Dad 's Prized Collections

Stephon returned to his hometown he hadn't seen in years. He had been notified that his Mother had died of a heart attack by her Attorney; she was 79. His Father had passed away over ten years earlier. Over the years his Mother and Father were collectors of items they considered to be bound with the melicious sprits of the dead; her artifacts and he books. Stephon was angry, because after His Father's passing, his Mother had utilized his college fund for her continued collection of trophies. She had made a will leaving everything to him. She thought this would ensure their preservation, but that was not going to be the case. All through his childhood, Stephon had been ignored by his Mother devoting all her time to her trophieos. and his Father to his books. He always criticized Stephon telling him he was ignorant and would never amount to anything. It was now his time to take the revenge he had waited so long for. He decided to sell their trophies on EBay to unsuspecting non-collectors of the paranormal items. Many collectors of such had contacted him, but he refused to sell. This delighted him so he started his quest.

He began by mailing the packages from different Post Offices throughout, even driving miles to post them from different area's. They sold easily and he kept tabs on them, waiting on word of unusual unexplained stories of phenomenal activities in the media of those who purchased an item. Stephon didn't have long to wait before paranormal activities started happening and the results surfaced.

Will his plan for revenge work?

Ron Ripley is one of my favorite Aug of supernatural stories and I love to read or watch movies of this type. Tom Bowers is a excellent Narrator. He seems to be able to emerge you into the middle of the action.

This is second book, 4-6 of a Trilogy: The Haunted Collection Series Books 1-9.

Caution for the mature, because of the violence. Not for children.

love how you can tell who the character is by the way the reader talks abd the integration between this and Berkley Street. The author and the reader are both excellent and I have to listen until hopefully Stephen/Steven dies, just to find out who gets to do it and how!
