A high school girl who can see the dead? What could go wrong?

Sequel to "Ghost Town"

Willow has been busy for the past year since she helped Jack cross over. Life has almost become normal, as normal as it can be when you are a clairvoyant teen who can talk to ghosts. But when a spirit who is soaking wet shows up at school, her peace begins to crumble. While she’s managed to hide her ability to see earthbound spirits from everyone but her boyfriend, Shane, and Gran, others are starting to notice and she's worried that the small amount of peace she's managed to find is in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Shane asks her to help a friend whose house has a couple of unwanted guests that have no intentions of leaving. How can she help these earth bound spirits if they don't want any help?

Is it possible to help everyone and still hold on to her secret? How can she remain a normal teenage girl when she’s helping spirits who look like something from a horror movie and trying to unravel the mystery of who they are? She’s not sure, but no matter what she knows she has this ability for a reason and that’s to help the dead. But maybe, if she can learn to trust herself, she can help the living too.

Excellent Series!

This is the second book in the Ghost Town Series, a paranormal YA high school mystery series. This is a sequel to the excellent Ghost Town, the first book in the series. I love Ghost stories! Willow's adventure continues in this short installment. She is strong, smart, caring, and determined. I like Shane, and Willow's grandparents. The storyline is well written, fast-paced, intriguing, and captivating. I liked the twists and turns. The world building is interesting. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. I need more! Evah Hamilton did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it! #StoryOrigin

Great Continuation

I really enjoyed this continuation and to see how Willow is handling her ability. Honestly I am very intrigued with how the author has written this whole premise and really like the direction it has taken. If the whole overall story wasn't enough to keep me wanting more that little cliffhanger at the end definitely did it. Narration is pleasant and it's an fairly quick and easy listen.

Hooked me in on First Page

I was so happy to realize this is a sequel to another book that I wasn't sure if there were more stories. She can see the dead only those who haven't passed on. Her grandmother and Shane only know that she helps ghost pass on. Until now, she has to help a friend of Shane's because two ghost are haunting his house. She has a scared ghost who is trying to get her to stop the man who killed her because he is coming back to kill again. Her best friend knows she is keeping secrets, so she has to tell her. Did she lose her friend because what she told her? Will her grandfather find out that her and her grandmother can speak to ghost? I am so happy.

This is a good book for you if you enjoy stories that contain hauntings.

Such a Fun Mystery with a Creepier Storyline

Parents: PG-PG13 this is acceptable for middle school on up
Language: PG
Violence: PG - normal to genre, nothing overly graphic
Sexual content: PG - Really very clean so far, new relationship, kissing but nothing to warn of

So this review is going to mimic my review on book one a bit. Even though ghost stories aren't normally my thing and I really dislike the horror genre I really loved this story. In this one she has to deal with a ghost who keeps showing up as she died... very creepy drowned dripping lady - she also is helping her boyfriends friend who's house is haunted. So there are two mysteries going at the same time, one very cryptic and the other less creepy but not very forthcoming. It was a great mix and helped to keep it out of just the scary horror mystery realm. This series is a bit of a mix between the show Ghost Whisperer and the movie Ghost... this one had a lot more mystery which I loved. I'm hoping to see more books in this series. If it intrigues you then give it a shot, I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

The narrator does a great job, has good differentiations, and a pleasant voice.

Excellent addition to the series!

The second story in the series can be read as standalone. There's enough background given that readers won't be lost jumping in here.

This story was more serious than the first as far as one of the ghosts Willow needs to help — a bit of a darker mystery to solve. Willow works with multiple ghosts, and her skills with her ability to communicate with the dead develop further. She also makes a connection that opens up a whole new direction for the series, which makes me hope there will be more stories.

Some questions remain. Or maybe I'm the only one wondering, but I still haven't figured out what Willow's grandmother sees in her husband, or why he was worth giving up her ability to marry him. :)

The ending... AAAHHH! It's a cliffhanger. This story is resolved fully, and it makes sense to end this story that way to set up the next book. It definitely left me ready to reach for the third installment. I'm especially curious to see how that one turns out.

Evah Hamilton performed the story, doing an excellent job with the narrative and giving life to Willow's dialogue, thoughts, and emotions.

Absorbing Ghost Story

I enjoyed the 2nd book in the "Ghost Town" series. Willow was becoming more comfortable with her abilities, when a scary looking ghost showed up at her school. Willow faced more ghostly complications when Shane asked her to help a friend with some ghosts that refused to leave his home. The story was charming. Willow, her grandmother, and Shane were delightful characters. I appreciated the interesting mystery surrounding the scary ghost. Evah Hamilton's narration was fine, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
