Who says cats and dogs can’t click?

Georgia Starr loathes asking for help, she’s tired of being let down. As a former foster kid dedicated to saving strays, she’ll do anything to rescue the pet shelter being threatened by the heartless Holm family. Could making her adorably dressed, goofy boxer mutt a viral sensation save the shelter and everything she cares about?

Hudson doesn’t need anyone else asking him for favors simply because he’s a Holm. He’s got his hands full dealing with the fallout from booting the pet shelter. If he can turn the persnickety Persian he’s cat sitting into an online celebrity, will it be enough to fix his family’s PR problems?

Twenty-something friends to lovers Georgia and Hudson clash like cats and dogs whenever they meet in person, but they can’t deny a certain animal attraction. If only real life human conversations were as easy as chatting as their pets online! What will happen when they reveal their true identities?

Watch the fur fly and stick around for the warm fuzzies of a feel good storyline with humor. Perfect for fans of witty character romcoms with dogs. This stand-alone enemies to lovers romcom banter series delivers delightful family drama.

Cute and Funny Story

I really liked the story for this one. It was cute and a bit funny. It was Hallmark-y (that's a word now) but different. I loved the feistiness of the main female character. At first, I didn't love her because, even though she's tough, she's too hard on herself. Then I realized how relatable that made the character because sometimes we put up a brave front, even when our world is falling apart. The ending was a bit confusing (no spoilers) but that could just be my sleep-deprived brain. No comment on the narration because I'm still getting use to audiobooks and that's not the author's fault.

Fun, Cute, Sweet, and Heartwarming!

This is the first book in the Lit Lovers Series, a Romantic Comedy. Georgia and Hudson's story is fun, cute, sweet, and heartwarming. I liked the humor and the banter in the story. Dorien Davies and Kenny Stevenson did a great job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Rome for the Holidays, the next book in the series. I enjoyed it. Cute Rom-Com

This was a cute, enemies-to-lovers book with a fun animal aspect. I enjoyed the unique take on pet owners connecting through their pets. It was a little difficult for me to really connect with the characters, but overall, I liked this book!

Fun Romance Involving Animal Rescue

I listened to Hate You Later on Audible. It was a fun story about a "goth" young woman (Georgia)who makes specialty clothing for animals while also running an animal rescue. A local, wealthy family steals Georgia's designs and begins mass producing them. Georgia unknowingly falls in love with the "good" son (Hudson) in said wealthy family through social media chats where they message in the "voice" of their respective pets. The story unfolds from there. Hudson attempts to save face when Georgia realizes it's his family who stole her designs. Cute story!

Best Calorie free guilty pleasure

As an avid reader and big streaming fan I had forgotten how relaxing it is to LISTEN to stories. I started listening to Ciara Blume’s ‘Hate You Later’ and I got hooked.
By the end of the day I put my feet up , close my eyes and let the story take me away .
Georgia and Hudson’s love story is told in a such a humorous and witty way ,that listening to it feels like consuming the sweetest dessert but without the calories.

A battle pixie love story!

I adore this story so much! Sweet and hysterical. I mean real laughing out loud moments. I got frustrated about half way through when she feels any good is a trick. But if you stuck with it I promise it gets better! Amazing!.

Puppies and Kittens

This was such a sweet story. The two main characters are natural adversaries. As part of a local pet event they are the voices behind their pets, talking from the pets point of view. They end up being friends, with growing feelings for the other, unbeknownst to them who the other actually is. The secret is discovered, and emotions play a big part as the story unfolds. Narrator did a good job.

Enjoyed the story

I enjoyed this story and especially the male voice. The premise of them speaking as their animals in their challenge was fun.

Heroine Prickly, Prideful Martyr

This book is the first in the author’s Lit Lovers series. In case you're wondering, Lit Lovers is the name of a romantic book podcast featured in the book, run by some of the novel’s secondary characters. There are probably several podcasts out there like it, and it is certainly a fun idea to base a series around. I listened to the audiobook version of this novel. It has two narrators, one for the hero and one for the heroine. I will admit that I found this book a little confusing at first because it has so many characters we hear from. Some are brother and sister; some are potential romantic partners; some are just good friends. It's a sizeable group to keep track of just if you’re just listening. If I had the book version, I probably would have made a cheat sheet to show how everybody was related or connected. Audible does allow authors to include a PDF with their audiobooks, and the author should consider writing up such a character sheet to help her struggling readers!

I wasn't wild about the heroine in this book. She came across as a prickly, prideful martyr, someone who would rather lose her family home than admit to her more well-to-do brother that that was where her finances were heading. She is also really prejudiced about the hero because of his family, even though she knows nothing about him personally. He’s actually a pretty decent guy, though he does have a few faults. <<< SPOILER >>> I also wasn't wild about how she treated the hero after their intimate moment, just cutting everything off without a good explanation. He certainly didn't deserve that treatment, no matter his flaws. I hate it when heroes do that to heroines in what is supposed to be a love story, but it is no better with the gender flip! <<< END SPOILER >>>

At the book review website I got this audiobook from, the author stated it has witty banter. Personally, I didn't find their banter *that* amusing, especially when they were face to face. As part of a challenge, their pets carried on a text conversation through them. While I would call that mildly amusing, I wouldn't go so far as to call it witty. Because the heroine was such a prickly character, I felt like I couldn't really get into the book and enjoy it as I hoped I would. As such, I do not feel like I can recommend it.
