About this listen

When Lady Esme Byron happens upon a gorgeous naked man sleeping beside a secluded country lake, she can't resist the impulse to sketch him. But when her highly improper drawing is mistakenly revealed at a party, she finds her once-pristine reputation in tatters.

Gabriel, Lord Northcote, may be a notorious rakehell, but he is still stunned to find himself accused of despoiling a duke's sister - especially since he's never set eyes on her. When Esme's six irate brothers demand a hurried trip down the aisle, he has no choice but to comply. He thinks that he can forget about his inconvenient bride, but Esme Byron is no ordinary woman, and Gabriel is about to learn just how unforgettable she can be.

I was so looking forward to continue this series but the narrator changed. This changed ruined the story! The narrator was like a robot. When she read the male parts she totally ruined the visual of these characters from previous books and narration.

Great story ruined by robot narration

I'm going to have to go to print on this book, narrator was almost child like with emphasis on pronunciation that it felt like English isn't her primary language. Can't finish audio but know T.A.W usually spins a lovely tale, hated to see it slaughtered in audio

narrator blues

Narrative speaks at such a slow pace i had to speed up the recording. Still sounded like she was reading to children If it wasn't included with my subscription I'd ask for a refund as is i can understand why it was free to subscribers. Shame because the book before it in the series has a good narrator

Horrible narrator

This is one book I wish I would have read rather than listen to the narrator. The story line was good but it was painful listening to it. I would have preferred the narrator not try to change voices for the different characters. She was choppy, inconsistent, and whiny. I was never certain which character was talking as the voices never stayed the same. It sounded almost like a robot was narrating the story. I will certainly stay clear of this narrator in the future.

Robotic Narration

I am sorry to write this review but the narration on this story is absolutely awful.
It sounds like an automated, robotic narrator rather than a person. The young women are made to sound mostly like they are 80 years old. Men's voices are horrible. It is VERY hard to listen to and I actually had to stop and go buy the printed book, which is horrible because I pay for this service and don't want to have to pay for a second version of the book. DO NOT BUY THIS AUDIOBOOK!

Awful Narration

The story was good, but the narrator ruins it! She reads like a robot with no feeling at all. It’s like someone reading to anclass of small children. It’s really a shame they didn’t get someone better to for the narration!

Great story, needs better narrator

Would you listen to Happily Bedded Bliss again? Why?

No.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Charlotte Anne Dore?

Bianca Amato

Any additional comments?

I love this author. Sadly the Narrator was very broken up and choppy, at times like listening to elementary student learning to read - other times she did better, but mostly it was like she was having to work so hard on the accent, she was choppy on the reading. Some of the Men sounded almost like Slow-minded idiots.

Reader was So Choppy it almost wrecked story for m

I have enjoyed the books in this series, but the narrators have been hit or miss, with Charlotte Anne Dore being the worst yet.

A good story over shadowed by poor narration.

I enjoyed the story but the narrator is terrible. She over pronounces words and the reading is stiff and halting. It would have sounded better if she had a flowing momentum and natural voice. The voices for the different male characters aren’t what I expected. Having read the other books in this series, I have an idea what they sound like and overbearing pompous men is not it. I think I’ll need to read this book to really enjoy this story.

Story is good, narration is poor.
