The orc apocalypse has arrived.

Tons of action

Good story, I liked Calder’s sidekicks *ahem* party members. Final fight is somewhat unsatisfying, but there can’t be a book 2 if he should logically be killed by someone 5x his level

An amazing first novel

I enjoyed this book so much, love the narration of the writing story plots with the struggle. Please give this novel a try you won’t regret it.

Edge of my seat!

Not a gamer and didn't even know that this genre existing. But, omg, it has been a favorite since I read my first one. I took advantage of Amazon's free audible trial and this was my book to try. I love it! The story had me listening till the wee hours of the morning. Love the story and the narrator was outstanding, in my humble opinion. A story read or listened to should take you away from the humdrum day of chores. This one certainly did that. Chores were done quickly because, you know, chores are mindless and almost automatic. This had me pausing and cheering, crying and smiling all within one chapter after another. Again, not a gamer and my grammar, well...I don't care. I care that this audiobook took me to the small village of Berring. Well done Mr. Herzman and well done Mr. WIsniewski!! Yeah, going to listen to the other two books.

loved it can't wait for book 2 I think the doom sound track should be playing at the final battle

Good but predictable

Good story with strong characters and little light on world building however narration was good which kept my interest. I’ll buy the next book which I think is a good recommendation.
