Good addition to this series

This addition to the HOT series was a good read and a good addition to the series. Mal and Scarlett were a great pairing in their slow burn relationship.

Mal, injured and recovering from his last mission, is working on dealing with his misplaced feelings for his friend and teammate's fiancé. He meets Scarlett, his PTA, and forms a friendship with her as she works with him on his rehab. He soon becomes her landlord and their friendship turns physical and more.

Scarlett, on the run from an abusive and unhinged ex, changes her real name to Scarlett and leaves her old life behind. She is scared about being discovered but soon finds herself needing to find a new place to live. She has been working with Mal on his rehab and forms a friendship with him both in helping him with his rehab and then as his tenant. Her feelings grow for him while trying to remain hidden from her past as their relationship becomes physical and they spend more time together.

This was a slow burn and build up type read. This pair had chemistry that was off the charts and once the plot of the story took off, I was hooked and wanted to see what would happen next. The narration performed by Gregory Salinas and Samantha Cook was performed well and made for an enjoyable listening experience. This pair did a great job bringing this story to life. This made for a good addition to the series and I enjoyed this story as much as I did the rest of the series. In the end, I recommend this book as well as the other books in this series.

Amazing

Another great story! I enjoyed the unique twist to Mal & Scarlet's story. I found this to be an engaging action-packed whirlwind of a good time. Even though I knew they were going to fall in love, I was so excited when they finally admitted it. Love the narrators, they bring the whole book to life.

Loved it

Friends to lovers, friends with benefits

Loved the uniqueness of this story where one of the MC thinks he's in love with someone else. Scarlett is a fabulous heroine - loved her. Great stalker storyline.

Excellent narration by Gregory Salinas and Samantha Cook. Loved both of them.

Wow. What a story

Wow. What a story. It grabbed me from the beginning. I loved Mal and Scarlett 's journey. Falling in love when they least planned and finding their HEA. But wow was it also tough at times as it addressed abuse in an excruciating way. I thought it was a truly amazing story, but guess consider that a bit of a trigger warning for anyone extra sensitive to those tough subjects. As always we see the love and commitment of the HOT teams, always having each others backs. Awesome narration as always from Samantha Cook and Gregory Salinas, truly bringing it to life.

Mal and Scarlett are great together!

Mal and Scarlett have great witty banter and the narrators do an Amazon with this. They also give great voice and personality to all of the other characters. Another great romantic suspense.

Courageous individuals, Great story!

If you like a strong Heroine and caring Hero, this is the book for you. The timing of events are smooth with great timing. Her reluctance to open up causes a snag through the budding relationship. Scarlet fits right in with the Hot family. It was a pleasure to listen to this story coming together. Another great one by Ms Harris!!

Mal and Scarlett are 🔥

Mal and Scarlett are simply an amazing couple! I love that Mal is so protective of Scarlett! Lynn Raye Harris is a wordsmith! The narrators bring Mal and Scarlett to life and I love how their voices mess together and meld into a wonderful story!

HOT Storm

A+++ I had forgotten how I enjoyed Mal and Scarlets love story. Samantha Cook and Gregory Salinas did a fabulous job with the audio. Those two are quickly becoming some of my favorite narrator's!!

HOT Storm is definitely one of my favorites. A very happily ever after!

Another steamy win!

I love this series so much! My only complaint is the formulaic kidnapping of the heroine. It’s become a game for me at this point in any romantic suspense type book to guess which chapter she is going to be abducted by the evil antagonist. Are there any authors left who can come up with a different plot device? Aside from that, which I am annoyed with the entire genre about, this book ticked all my feel good boxes. Lynn Raye Harris does a great job with character development. I keep coming back for more. The HOT teams are just that. Hot!

Mal is an incredible man who got confused and let himself get hung up on the wrong woman until the right one came along and opened his eyes by being exactly what he needed and not holding back. Scar was everything a best friend should be. Watching their relationship blossom with neither realizing they were often sharing the same inner turmoil over their feelings for the other was at times amusing, at times frustrating, and always enough to keep the audience glued to the story to see what would happen next. I can see myself reading and/or listening to this book many times over. Easy 4.75 stars. I won’t even dock a half-star for the abduction. It really did fit well for this book. Absolutely loved it start to finish. Audio narrators did a fantastic job bringing the book to life.
