Publisher's summary

Magical Beasts is now in development for a major motion picture.

The smugglers put a magical weapon on Jake’s wrist and blackmail Sam - she must find the golden dragon or her best friend will die. Yet, everyone is desperate to find the powerful golden dragon, including the Evil One, who has been hiding for millennia and has sworn to destroy all life in the magical world of KiraKu. If the Evil One captures the golden dragon, it’s game over. And the Evil One could be anyone, so no one can be trusted.

The guardians will have to survive death matches and multiple enemies to find the golden dragon first. And everything is turned upside down when they discover the dragon is not what they think....

Can Sam discover who the Evil One is? Can she take her power to the next level to stop him and save Jake? Guardian: The Quest is book two of Magical Beasts, a fantasy thriller series with nonstop action, powerful heroines, quirky tough heroes, and a slew of not-so-friendly magical beasts.

Great Book

Loved the second book in this series. It was an overall great story and the narration was very well done. It ended in a manner that felt resolved, yet kept me interested enough to want to read the next book.

Time we'll spent

A very enjoyable story. Though there are a lot of technical terms, the listener (or reader) is not overwhelmed because of the way it is delivered.

Book 2...

If you read my first review in this series, I've expressed what I would say about this audio as well. If you enjoyed the series called The Lightning Thief or a series such as Fablehaven you'll enjoy this series. I can't wait for the third book in this for part series. Well done and keep it going.

I reading of this series is fitting and well done as well.

Good story

The story continues love this story. The story leaves you wanting the next book. Well Worth a credit.

There is no corse language. Violence does not going to gory details. No sex scenes. It a story teen who love fantasies would probably enjoy this one.

Narrated by: Sarah Lucero The narrator does a wonderful job and really suits the book. She brings the characters alive with their own individual unique voice.

I just love this story. Wanting for the next Book.

Fantastic Listening!

I will dare say that Geoffrey did a fantastic job with the 2nd book of this series. Hands down I very much enjoyed the action, adventure, laughter, humor, young love, and just pure enjoyment. I could go on and on, but why do that when you can listen to it!

If you enjoy Craig Halloran's books, as well as Marc Secchia, then hands down you will enjoy this!

Middle Grade Quest

I this one is fun and I would say based on dialog and style it's really geared towards middle school age readers but would be fine for 3rd grade and up. this series is a mix of mythological and magical creatures with action, mystery and adventure. It starts off pretty quickly in a major action scene and really just continues from there. These are not stand alone books they really need to be read in order. I will say in this book the repeated "miss touchy feely" comments along with the character Uncle Biggy (who has a mix of baby talk and choppy speach) really did irritate me throughout the story. There's a light romance often shown in a very awkward young teen way.

The narrator was okay, just more a personal opinion and some of it could have been more due to Uncle Biggy's dialog and a few of her accents for different characters. I would definitely recommend upping the listening speed as it does sound like someone slowed it down, try 1.3-1.5 times speed. Overall, it was a fun read and I would recommend it for the younger readers.
