I liked it.

Compelling storyline. Definitely some triggers, so be aware of that. At times the writing is a little repetitive, but overall I enjoyed it. Hopefully the next one is as good!

Great Narration and Story

I really enjoyed this book. Not only was the story engaging but the narration was spot on. I really felt for the MC and even a couple of her love interests. The MCs story is sad but, I love that she grows strong and continues fighting. A little naive but who wouldn't be after being held captive since age 5? Either way she makes it clear she is willing to fight for herself, those she cares for, all while pushing for justice to ALL those who had captured and hurt her over the years. The narration was spot on and I really enjoyed both the female and male narrator. The only thing I didn't care for was the cliffhanger...then again who ever does? At least now I'm know I'm looking forward to the next book.

Good buuuut

Overall I enjoyed the story. 2 of the 4 love interests are spot on but the other two are already in a relationship with each other and the vamp is very unpleasant all the way around. Wish there was a warning that it includes M/M because I wouldn't have bought this one, only because it's not my cup of tea.

I did stick it out and liked it, but I won't be listening to the next one.

SOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOW

Every single action in this book is so goddamn slow. I couldn't stand it. Speeding the narration was no help because every page is filled with bloat and repetition and filler. I can't describe it, you just have to read a scene. Luckily there's no need to search for a problematic passage, because the writing is weighed down from line one. Right off the bat we have a front row seat to the h (battery/Zera's) torture and escape, and it goes on forever! We don't even know this chick yet. Or another favourite (not) was a scene where 3 of the characters have come under attack, they have just stolen a car to escape, and it literally takes 3 pages for them to get into the f***ing car.

Also note, this is one of those MM where two the men (Knox and Javion) are existing mates. So of course they're way more in love, turned on, and devoted to each other than the heroine. There's only one intercourse scene in this book and it's MM.
