Publisher's summary

Aisling Grimlock has been through more than most reapers can bear...and still she’s standing.

Her mother is back from the dead but Aisling isn’t convinced she’s worthy of being accepted back in the family. Unfortunately, Lily Grimlock isn’t always her daughter’s biggest. Often her brothers take over...and her father...and her boyfriend...and her best friend...oh, and an impending wedding. In addition to all that, she also has to take on magical storms and possible zombies (even though no one believes the dead are really rising).

Aisling may be spoiled, but she’s a fighter to the core. She won’t give up until every question is answered...and that’s where things are heading as her wedding approaches and her mother’s ultimate fate is finally sealed.

This three-audiobook omnibus includes Grim Rising, Grim Tempest and Grim Vows.

Love this series despite narration

Although the narrator has an extremely irritating nasal tone that gets far worse when voicing additional characters, I enjoyed this series.

Grim End

this is an awesome series. I hated to see it end. definitely worth the credit. there is always something going on w/o a lot of filler in between, and lots of snarkiness 😄

Wow! The Series is Great

I have listened 3 times to this series and the sequel series- Death Gate and Luna Thorne.

Book 9 is really awesome.

The whole spoiled brat thing was taken too far

Voice actor was decent.
The whole spoiled brat thing was taken too far for my liking. I’m not sure how everybody falls in love with this girl who acts perpetually 13 and spoiled?

Also the story felt a bit recycled from the covenant college series and unfortunately became really predictable. That’s kind of a common thread in the different Amanda M Lee series, which is too bad.

Putting all of the above aside, I enjoyed the story and found the family dynamic to be mostly likable. Possibly because I grew up without a family and Aisling has 5 protective brothers and a doting father.

Also the story was interesting and the almost complete lack of magic is a departure from the other books- although the story is still full with paranormal and magical creatures.

Love this family!

Funny with supernatural characters that are relatable. I know there are other series where the Grimlocks have major roles in the story but I truly hope that eventually enough stories gets us to the point where all the Grimlocks find their mate and brings us up until at least how this book ended.

Love it!

I like Amanda’s women characters. They are strong, intelligent, forge strong relationships and are rather obnoxious! They’re not perfect. And I enjoy the narrator also. She manages a lot of different characters and gives them distinctive voices. A very difficult task! Don’t listen to what the others say. It’s a good read!

Good overall

This hasn’t been my favorite series my Amanda, but I enjoyed the listen. The narrator was not my favorite. I prefer when Angle Clark narrates Amanda’s books. That is totally a personal opinion though. If you enjoy Amanda M Lee and Lily Harper Hart (who is actually Amanda M Lee) then you’ll likely like this series.

annoying narrator

I listen to all of her books , including LILLY HARPER HART. I have no idea why, though. All of her books are the same. The characters even eat the same food. I hate the way the men tend to treat women like children but are always talking about having sex.. the narrator is truly awful. listen at your own risk.

Good stories, not so good narrator

The stories are good and I like the family dynamic between the Crimlocks, they can be very relatable at times. The narrator is almost unbearable. After I finish this set I purchased I may switch to reading the books instead of audio versions.

So much fun

I really start suggest starting from the beginning I’m working your way through all of this series. The characters are fun, the crossovers are awesome, and every time I finish a series I realize I will miss hearing about all of the characters again.
