Publisher's Summary

Gregor Stone is a full-blooded Gargoyle and the warden at the New Atlanta Penitentiary. He spends his days running the prison and his nights looking for Unholy. With the recent discovery that Gargoyles can mate with humans, there is new hope for his kind. Gregor has found his mate, but there’s one problem: she hates him. He believes his happily-ever-after is still just a fairy tale.

Tessa Blackmore is Trouble with a capital T and has been since she was a baby. Tessa is a half-blood. Her father is a Gargoyle and her mother is human. The half-bloods have hidden themselves from the Gargoyles for centuries. Now that Tessa has found her mate in a full-blood, will she continue to hide, or will she give in to the pull of the mate bond?

Tessa is running from her past and the madman hell bent on catching her. As he and his army close in, Tessa is forced to turn to the one man she has tried to avoid for years: her mate.

Book 2 in The Stone Society is about a hot alpha Gargoyle shapeshifter and his feisty redheaded mate. While the books can be heard as stand-alones, they are better enjoyed in order.

Narrator’s voice.

I have to admit I enjoyed the storyline and characters in the first and this second book, but I find the narrator’s voice when changing into different characters very grating and droll! Especially when attempting a female pitch.
I’ll try to listen to the third book in the series- not sure I’ll make it to the end listening to that voice!

Great story, Narrator good in certain parts.

I loved the story! The narrator did a great job of sounding like what I would imagine a gargoyle would sound like. The only problem is he didn't do so well with the female parts. His voice was still the slow and stilting like the male voice. I would suggest maybe using a the male narrator with a female too in the future.

Sizzling HOT, Fantastic Read!

Gregor is a complex story, rich in intrigue and plot twists. It builds on book 1, Rafael, but can be read standalone if needed without losing too much of the complicated and unique backstory. Sparks fly when feisty Tessa and Gregor get together. The depth of these characters is refreshing, and their story unfolds beautifully. A note about “Gregor”: in this book, readers will find a few intensely dark sections dedicated to a pervy serial killer. These are brief and can be skipped over if you’re squeamish. However, these sections are integral to understanding why Tessa refuses Gregor for so long. This book is definitely for the 18+ crowd, as Gregor and Tessa are sizzling hot in the bedroom (their proclivities run a bit darker than Rafael’s) - even as they fight like cats and dogs (she shot him- twice!). A note on the Audible version: my brain had a hard time with the multiple accents in this book. Our narrator has great inflection and fantastic performance range, but the multiple accents were just a bit too much for me. I still gave Mr. Finn a 4 star rating though.

The performance had me stop listening. It was too bad, the story seemed good. Maybe with a different reader

Please change the narrator

The story of this book is good, as is the plot. But the narrator is really not fit for this book. There are many character changes and his voice just doesn’t even cut the different male character voices let alone the female. It is super distracting and brings this whole book down.

WELL WOVEN STORY💛

l found this to be a fascinating story, rich with gargoyle and family history . The elusive genetic sire has his minions committing murders of women that has the coroner puzzled and trying to put his finger on a common factor. All the while l was rooting for the love interests to evolve and trying to guess/solve who will be next to find a mate. I find myself fascinated with the albino and really hope he will get a happy endinf further down the line.
The narrator did an awsome job in the first book of this series "Rafael" and while very good l found the female voices this time less precise, but often l know an author with give the narrator directives so that may well be the case. Anyway 5 star all round for me. It is a well written good sized book that demands all your attention and l recommend this series

Loyalisa30

This was my first time reading a Faith Gibson book. I enjoyed the storyline but the narration wasn’t great. Mace’s voice was good as the voice of male characters (although he seemed to falter some when creating voices to differentiate between the male characters) but detracted from the story when attempting any of the female characters. The struggle with the voices made it difficult to enjoy the audiobook. A dual narration would probably benefit the audiobook better. With that being said, the story encourages you to follow your heart to obtain happiness. The story suggests that sometimes overthinking things will lead you to self destruction.
