Totally Engrossing!

Green Wash by Colleen Cross is my favorite book to date by the author. I loved the wicked twists this book had. Accident or Murder by avalanche was one such twist. The details were so realistic from everything I've learned about them it was spooky. The deceptions the author incorporates in this story were so well done too. I could envision so many details with this book. The characters of Katerina Carter, her boyfriend Jace, and Uncle Harry are all so endearing. Green Wash is supposed to be a vacation for Katerina and an incredible work opportunity for Jace. Little do they realize how different things will be. I absolutely loved the twist at the end of this book. I never saw it coming, yet it was perfect. Sorry for not giving away spoilers.
Petrea Burchard was fantastic bringing the characters to life in this book. She has distinguishable voices for the numerous characters, and its easy to hear who is speaking. I cannot recommend this book enough. I really loved it!

5 stars, 4th time round!!

Kat is a forensic fraud investigator and Jace is her boyfriend who is a journalist. Jace is hired to write a biography of a billionnaire. Together they go see him for a weekend so Jace can get the details for his book. While there, they encounter protesters complaining about the local mine contaminating the water. Kat inadvertently gets involved in the sinister scam behind the mine and risks her life in the process.

Colleen is a talented writer! This is the fourth book in the Katerina Carter Fraud Thriller series and i must say that i enjoyed this one as much as i did the first three. The story is exciting, moves at a good and enjoyable pace, and keeps the listener intrigued throughout.

Petrea narrated all books in the series providing good continuity. She narrates really well with excellent intonation for all characters. I very much enjoyed her performance.

Overall, i recommend this book being an exciting thriller with plenty of action. I thoroughly enjoyed it and im sure you will too!

Love it

This is the fourth book in the series and I loved it. Each book just seems to be better than the last. It has a lot of action, mystery, suspense and drama. The narrator has gotten each character nailed down.

What's REALLY going on in this peaceful town?

Greenwash: A Katerina Carter Fraud Thriller by Colleen Cross was great! From the beginning, the story sucks you in and keeps you listening. Ms. Cross created a fun, suspenseful, well crafted story that I listened to in two sittings. While this is Book 4 of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone. I don't think listening to it as a standalone detracted from the story or overall listen at all. This is the story of Katerina and Jace, and the murder and mystery that surrounds them when they travel to a remote snowy location where Jace is supposed to write the biography of a sketchy environmental billionaire. Nothing is as it seems and things soon start to go wrong...I'd definitely recommend this book to listeners!

Petrea Burchard did an excellent job narrating this story. It was my first time listening to any of her performances, but I'll definitely look for more listens narrated by her. She handled both the male and female voices well and really brought life to the characters. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

A Great Listen

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. Jace has been offered a chance in a life time to write about one of his personal heroes and Kat goes along for the trip. It's beautiful and remote, and Kat is bored and as usual she finds some trouble to get into. After she has a near miss with death, she starts her own investigation and uncovers an unbelievable plot. As always there is lots of action and suspense as Kat tries to unravel all the details. It's a great listen.

Great as a stand alone and series

Katerina and Jace are off of a well deserved (working) vacation. Of course fans of the series know there is no such thing when Katerina is around. She has a nose for trouble. This well written adventure has enough twists and turns to keep you glued to the story and the series. This is one couple you will look forward to again and again. The narrator is easy to follow and lends a sense of familiarity to each character in the book. Over all the series is quite entertaining.

Green Wash

I love that Kat is supposed to be on a mini vacation in this book. Her job is to support Jace this time. But if you are a fan of this series like me, you know she looks for things to keep her busy and can get herself in to quite a bit of trouble. Kat is immediately suspicious of the man Jace is working for after he has some things added in to Jace's contract. Then Kat is almost killed on a morning hike and everyone is playing it down about the couple that did get killed in the same accident. Their is no way she's letting it go now. Another great story! And Petrea Burchard does a fantastic job bringing this book to life.

Murder, fraud, and more!

thriller, murder, suspense

Never trust a former green activist who did more than just make a profit. Self absorbed boyfriend contracts with said billionaire allegedly to write a book about him under the career journalist's name but finds out otherwise. Kat supposedly goes along for a vacation, but it turns deadly when a couple who are protesting shady business practices are killed in a supposedly spontaneous avalanche. And then things really get messy! Aside from wanting to toss the boyfriend under the bus, I was riveted by the story and the characters.
Petrea Burchard is the perfect voice actor for this book.
I won a free audio copy in a giveaway without expectations.

Another great read (or listen) from Colleen Cross!

I listened to book 3 and book 4 back to back. Sometimes when I do that, I get bored with the characters, but not in this case.

Katerina is getting pretty unlucky now. This is her second trip for pleasure in this series, and sadly the first trip on the yacht last time out didn't go too well. Well, it'll come as no surprise that her trip accompanying Jace to a luxury mountain lodge doesn't go quite as planned either!

No uncle Harry this time, and Jace is a bit of a pain - he always seems to be so enamoured with his hosts that he doesn't pick up on the clues that they're usually as dodgy as can be.  Kat doesn't though, and despite Jace never really believing her suspicions, she's not one to let a little mountainside avalanche danger get in the way of uncovering a good mystery, especially when environmental catastrophe threatens!

Another great read (or listen) from Colleen Cross!

Loved it!

Another gem by Colleen Cross, I actually felt like I was in the snow capped hills with Kat Carter! An interesting mystery develops when Kat's boyfriend is commissioned to ghostwrite a biography for a rich billionaire. All is not what it seems in the environmentalists domain as the first thing Kat and Jase encounter is a protest. As always, Kat manages to find herself drawn into a fraud investigation and is determined to get to the bottom of what is really going on. Excellent narration by Petrea Burchard.

Another blinder

Welcome back fellow readers and the next in the instalment of our favourite heroine Kat Carter.

I am loving the diversity this series is bringing me, each case is always that little bit different, the cast of characters is always fresh and interesting and even the staple people in the stories you know and love have yet another angle to learn about.

This tale leaves you shivering and I had no idea an avalanche could be the prime suspect in a murder, except it’s not that would be silly but the shadowy people involved very much are in the frame.

Having been to Vancouver a couple of times I like hearing of places I’ve visited or not places I want to go.

once again the minor roles in this story play as big a part of this story as the main ones do and achieve the aim of fleshing out a snowy wilderness.

Just when I think the series has reached an end, Colleen pulls another blinder out the bag of tricks .

Once again we welcome back our resident and brilliant narrator Petrea Burchard, who does an excellent job of weaving this chilly thriller.

This has been book three in the increasingly popular series but as I’ve found each can work well as a stand alone with only maybe minor throwbacks to the other books in the series.

I can’t recommend this series enough, I have enjoyed each one as much as the last.

A brilliant Katerina Carter story

Greenwash was my introduction into the world of the Katerina Carter thrillers. I really liked it and now want to go back and listen to the whole series from the beginning! It also works perfectly as a standalone.
A weekend leisure trip to the Rocky Mountains quickly turns into a life and death investigative adventure for Kat. She stumbles upon a successful cover-up of a previous natural disaster and immediately tries to figure out who is set to gain from it and what exactly the endgame is. She has her work cut out for her: it’s a time sensitive task and her life depends on it!
This is a fast-paced story narrated brilliantly by Petrea Burchard. I’m looking forward to listening to other books by Colleen Cross as well.

Just as great as the first three

Just as great as the first three. I enjoyed seeing the growth in the relationship between Katerina and Jace. This time, Jace is the one with the job and Katerina tags along for a relaxing vacation. However, I don’t think Katerina knows how to relax and soon she finds herself absorbed in another mystery. She’s in a remote location that makes it difficult for her to escape. I missed Uncle Harry in this book and hope he’s back in book five. I found the story extremely engrossing.

Another good one

Although this book was not as gripping and full of suspense as the other i’ve listened to it was good and i enjoyed it. It was something a bit different to the intense financial intricacies of before but i found it quite actual and relevant.

A few places information is repeated too much

I enjoyed another one of Collen Cross's books. It is well written and researched. I however don't like it when information is repeated more than twice. This repetition was a bit annoying.

The narrator was great and i enjoyed her performance.

This is a well written murder mystery novel with plenty of intrigue. The pace is just right to keep you glued to the expertly narrated twisting plot as it unfolds to reveal a double murder and deception. The central characters are wonderful making this a great listen.
