It’s never a good combo to be broke and desperate. You do stupid things. Like accidentally sign your soul over to hell.

When I interviewed for a new security job, I didn’t bat an eye that it was for a literal graveyard shift...headstones and all. I mean, at the hourly rate they were offering, who cares? I got this.

Turns out, I’m not guarding a graveyard like I thought. It seems I’ve just walked my broke ass into protecting a gate to hell. Yeah...I don’t got this.

Now I’m stuck in a terrifying new reality: a group of hot demons who act like I can solve all their problems, and a battle between good, evil, and balance.

This will seriously teach me to read the fine print on help wanted ads. Good thing this job comes with a scythe. Maybe I can use it to stop them from dragging my ass into hell.

If you ignore the female main character the book is great. Just let her go pout in the corner of your mind while you enjoy the rest of the characters and storyline. Am I also pouting (because we didn’t get the strong, mature, assured female main character that we wanted)? Maybe.

Still gonna read the next book

The beginning of this story will make you want to quit because the main female character is probably the most annoying I've ever come across. However, it does get better and you can see alot of growth moments throughout. The male who is mean to her all the time basically reflected all my inner thoughts and I love him for it. The end got pretty exciting though and I will be jumping into the next book to see what happens.

has potential

If you like books about hell and demons that look like a hottie of your dreams and a main character who is funny and would have emotions just like you would if this crazy stuff was happening to you. Then this is your kind of book. I am excited for the next in the series. I haven’t laughed like that in a long time. It was just a silly comment but it was perfect timing. This is a great listen. Not too serious, light hearted and sexy. Loved it!

I haven’t laughed like this reading a book in a long time

I loved this book. It is my 1st one co-written by these 2 authors. I laughed so much. I absolutely love humor in the books I read and this one was perfect.

Loved it.

I’ve listened to hundreds of books and this is the first I’ve heard this narrator. She is AWESOME! I love the book but she just made it that much better. She brings the story to life!

Perfect Narration!

Loved the path Delta has taken, but THAT ending!!!! My heart needs to read the rest of the series pronto (and yes I just bought all the available in audible ones as soon as I finished this one 😂)

Amazing!

Story summary
Main female gal takes a security job working for a graveyard. During her shift, she runs into main male characters who set off an instinct. Turns out she’s an unknown demon or something. Her scythe comes into the open and all are wondering.
After a night of crazy talk she runs for it and runs into more danger. Little options left. She turns back to the unknown men who may be able to help her. Hopefully get her normal life back.
The main male characters are in a difficult situation themselves and are seeking help. But the one option they have was not the first choice not all can agree on. They eventually go to seek answers.

My review
So I kinda have a love hate relationship with the main female character. She can be irritating and then funny. Back and forth with that one. She also prolongs situations with her panic which is understandable but you kind of want it hurried along at times. Like what’s going to happen next.
The main male characters were ok but a blank slate. You have no idea there past or what’s happening half the time. To many questions.
The story line was good. Had a good base. But drags at time. I lost interest at times.
Major thing I not fond on in books is the dream scenario where you think the storyline is progressing in a way then they wake up. They have a small bit of that in this book. Nothing to major but still not a fan.
Storyline is good but really slow in its telling. I feel like should have had more added to it.

Narrator review
Not bad and pretty good. I was not a fan of female tone of voice at times but I think that had more to do with her personality. The reading was not bad but not my most favorite.

Would I recommend this book?
I believe many would love this book. I’m not a fan of it but not supper bad. Supernatural romance that had little romance. No steam. No major progression of storyline after you get caught up on the start of it. The relationship did not progress much. I feel more would love it if they get book two. Just felt like half a book.
But the storyline seemed like it would be pretty good. Whole idea is great. Just slow for me and maybe I don’t have patience.

Not my favorite main character

This book is still one of my favorites! The audible book makes it that much better!

One of my favorite books.

The story would be good if it was more about it than her wanting to do every man around her constantly. I stopped listening so I don’t know if this turns into a reverse harem or what but I really would rather have the good story I thought it was.

Story is background to her lustful thoughts.
