Publisher's summary

Grace Williams isn’t looking for complications because, really, isn’t life complicated enough? She’s a single mom with four children. She has unresolved issues with her ex-husband. Her sister nags at her about going to church. Her kids are not perfect. And neither is Grace. She has hang-ups about organized religion, she is overwhelmed by suppressed guilt and grief, she is judgmental, and she can’t control her hair.

When a man shows up on her doorstep, Grace’s life is turned upside down. David is terrific with her kids, she loves his family, and her sister thinks he’s perfect. But he’s a little too pushy. And he wants her to change.

For anyone who’s ever made a mistake, Grace Alone is a story about forgiveness, hope, and grace in the midst of a messy life. Because, God specializes in new beginnings.

Journey of Faith and Family

Such a fun tale of the journey of faith and family. It was a pleasure walking along with Grace and David seeing not only where their relationship would grow but what would happen in their lives. You will cry with the characters and rejoice with the characters.

My pastor husband listened alongside me for part of the story and enjoyed the portions that were shared from the pastors point of view.

A note about the Audible recording; a couple seconds at the end of chapter 35 restated “I make an incision in the thigh”

Loved listening to the story!!

It could have happened to me!

This story has perfect blend of humor, sadness, and real life situations. I would enjoy seeing what happens to the characters in a sequel! Mrs. Meyer did an exceptional job of capturing the human emotions of all the characters, from little Katie to the dear grandma with dementia.

A great lutheran fiction novel

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started on a fiction, but decidedly Lutheran book. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the unfolding of a love story mixed with such honest moments of every day life. The characters were very relatable, and the story had a great turn paging plot that kept me hooked from beginning to end! If you’re looking for an enjoyable Christian fiction novel, this is a great place to begin. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Enjoyable Christian Fiction

I really enjoyed listening to Grace Alone. It was more realistic than most of the books I’ve listened to lately, especially the storylines involving the kids! It was such a refreshing change! I’ll be listening to this one again! Recommended
