Slow until end

I wanted to like this book but just couldn’t get into it until the last third of the story.

Good good read.

Really liked this title. Even the sadder darker reality of it still worth the read.

Made me cry a little but it was a great story with well developed characters and excellent narration.

Great story

Perfect naration, great romance; a period piece, yet relatable for this 50's child. I appreciate the time during the Blitz and the staging hospital in France.

Worth your time!

I am usually not inclined to read historical types of books. But I am so glad I read this book. It was so well written and well narrated. I was transcended back in time but yet I was never board.

Loved Ruby and Bennett !

I love historical fiction and this is one of the best books I have read. I enjoyed the audio version.

Great Storyline

Kept me hooked! Narration was decent, hardy attempt at varying up the characters but it didn’t detract from the story. Truly moving - from start to finish, lots of emotions. Highly recommend!

Light story

The narration was not great. It was, at times, monotone with no emotion. Also the English voices often sounded more Australian. Probably would have been a better read as opposed to listen.
