Publisher's Summary

Hades, Candice Fox's first novel, won the Ned Kelly Award for best debut in 2014 from the Australian Crime Writers Association. The sequel, Eden, won the Ned Kelly Award for best crime novel in 2015, making Candice only the second author to win these accolades back to back. Her third novel, Fall, was short-listed for the 2016 Ned Kelly and Davitt awards. She is also the author of the best-selling thrillers Crimson Lake and Redemption Point, featuring ex-cop Ted Conkaffey.

In 2015 Candice began collaborating with James Patterson. Their first novel together, Never Never, set in the vast Australian outback, was a huge best seller in Australia and went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list in the US and also to the top of the charts in the UK. The sequel, Fifty Fifty, reached number two in the States. Their third collaboration, Liar Liar, will be released in July.

Great series so far.

To be honest I haven’t heard of Candice Fox before last week. And then I listened to Crimson Lake. I thought it was so enthralling I had to listen to the next in the series. All three done in less than a week and now I’m just hoping there’ll be more in this series.

Loved it.

Well done Candice, another fab instalment if the Crimson Lake series. I love your character development and your writing style is not bogged down with needless detail.

Lani has also done a great job. I’m glad he was used again as there is nothing worse then when a narrator is changed throughout the series.
Fab work team.

Love the narrator!

Again, Candice writes so well. I feel like the characters are so real and love getting to know them more and more. Don’t want it to end!

Great characters

Loved meeting the characters of Gone by Midnight, so much I wish I'd started with the first book in this series.

Great Aussie read

Refreshingly different ambience and approach for a crime novel. It reminds me of Australian made movies, somehow threading warmth and humour into a serious plot and making it deliciously entertaining. The narrator captured the characters well.

Addictive series

I am such a fan of this series and the third installment was just as enthralling as its predecessors.

Fantastic!

Brilliant as always with this series. Sad it’s the end as I will miss Ted and Amanda

Candice does it again - fantastic

Great Story Superbly Told but Lani really, really shouldn't have tried that English accent at all and mobile phone sound effect was unnecessary

midnight

Good story. Not predictable. Twists and turns. A little disjointed in parts. Had to re-listen to some chapters.

Candice Fox

Listened to all three Crimson Lake stories in succession, and now feel bereft without Amanda, Ted, Celine and the geese family, not to mention the crocs and bikies. Hilariously Australian characters and black humour. Totally recommend for a good laugh out loud.
