Joey Mercer felt God calling him to walk away from his quiet life and minister to the homeless. Trading in his home for the open road, Joey travels the country seeking those in deepest need. With little more than the clothes on his back and a worn Bible by his side, Joey goes where few dare—landing in shelters and alleys across America.

In each new city, Joey searches crowds and corners, listening for voices others have tuned out. When he finds the lost and hopeless, Joey shares not just a meal, but the hope within his heart. Reading passages that bring peace, offering prayers that lift burdens, Joey gives all he has to those who have nothing. Though the work is challenging and the nights lonely, Joey finds purpose in his mission from God.

The sprawling mass of humanity proves both opportunity and risk for the young missionary. While many receive Joey warmly, others view him as a threat to their survival. When a chance encounter turns violent, Joey must rely on his faith to guide him through one of his greatest trials yet.
