a good horrific tale of Nostalgia gone wrong

Gnome Cave is a pretty good, although seemingly rushed, story of how ones nostalgia and yearning for the past can all go horribly wrong.

I can't feel but James rushed this story because by the end there are so many questions that never get answered, and I have this lingering feeling that he wanted to write more.... but for some reason ultimately left the story feeling full of holes.

Overall, for his first foray into being an Author (besides his autobiography) James did a pretty decent but flawed job, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next!

When stuff starts to happen, it really happens

The book starts a little slow and presents itself as more of an age story, but it suddenly becomes a psychological slasher tale, almost like a rated Goosebumps installment

I remember this…

A long time ago, I remember watching a video by James in which he mentioned this story. I always wanted to hear the end of it, so I was pleasantly surprised when this came out. It was good to finally finish the story.

James Rolfe's creative voice but in the form of an audio book

This is firmly in the style and quality of passion project works I've seen from him as a creator in other mediums. In this story he does a wonderful job of capturing the essence of nostalgia while propelling the story through horror and suspense familiar to his distinct and often comedic creative voice.

Can’t wait for another from James!

Years ago I heard about his screenplay, and getting the rest of the story in audiobook form was worth the wait.

I’m sure Mr. Rolfe has other ideas in his mind that are aching to get out.

Hope that means we get more stories from him in the near future.
