Useful book for starting your work-travel journey
There are quite a few incentives to try working from abroad and this book manages to help you get started. It's based on the journey of this author so you can understand better what helped him most in order to work from a distance while traveling the world. The narration is pleasant and it helps to create a good story. There are many tips for starting your own personal journey and keeping in mind that I'm also an expat I believe that the book has enough ideas to get you started and actually be successful at it. Good luck with your new adventure.

Timely read for those with the travel itch
I was recommended this book by a friend & wasn't disappointed. Michael (the author) provides a blend of personal real-world experiences combined with logistical advice on visa resources, travel tips, insurance, accommodation suggestions, and finding local job listings.
It's timely info during this "2020 situation". Flights may have been halted momentarily, but many traditional jobs are now going online as a result. Whether you want to work remotely for a company as an expat or freelance from a laptop in Asia, this book provides practical tips to get you started.
Highly recommend.

Seasoned Motivational Advice
I received this book via promo code and this is my honest voluntary review.
Rather than focusing on potential career uncertainty with Brexit and Covid disasters... I am glad I had this book around for some inspiration. Switching gears is never easy, and getting the courage to actually book those tickets, fill in the application forms and join those language classes takes a lot of faith and hellah guts. I've always been intrigued by the idea of jet-setting around the world on my wandering feet and having an awesome career. I loved the personal anecdotes that follow this practical advice.
If I were still in my early 20s, I would most probably be off following this advice but at 35... the idea of interning for free etc is not very practical if you are a young professional I loved the straight forward writing style and the tips are excellent to keep in mind or pass on to younger family members.

If You Want To Work And Travel, Read This!
This is a nice easy read. Gives you a great set of tools to prepare yourself for a life of working on the road. As a nomad of 7 years, I'd say a perfect first book on the topic -also has a few higher-level secrets, which made it more useful than a lot of the other books on the topic . Written by an American, but stil great advice, regardless of where you are from. Recommended...

Great book which can really change your life
Although I have previous experience working abroad, this book has been a good reality check in evaluating where I am now and where I have always wanted to be (living/working abroad). The author details his own experiences from travelling and working abroad, to opportunities of studying in a different country. The book covers a range of topics which are valuable to anyone thinking of working/travelling abroad, but are apprehensive of taking those first steps.
This book is a great guide with tons of real life experiences on how to live and work around the globe.

If you liked the 4-hour workweek you'll love this book
I loved the 4-hour workweek but I thought it was lacking a lot of practical strategies that I could implement today. Global career provides the practical strategies that were missing from the 4-hour workweek.
It doesn't focus on starting an online business or ideas but instead the actual steps you can take to prepare to live and travel overseas or get a remote job.
While the 4-hour workweek tells you to go live in Argentina and learn salsa dancing, global career provides the websites and resources to make that a reality. Not just to travel but to build a career overseas or get a job that you do from anywhere in the world.
I'm paraphrasing the book here but I think this sums the book up well:
What this book will do for you is turn your dream of traveling one day into something you know you can do right now.
Instead of looking at vacation destinations for that trip you want to take someday but taking no action on it. This book will get you looking up flight times and submitting your visa application to make your dream of traveling one day into a reality now.
I really enjoyed this audiobook and since listening to it I have already taken steps towards making a move overseas.
