Publisher's summary

A Baltimore native and former Motown recording artist Clarence “KD” McNair comes from an environment filled with emotional disorders, financial hardships, mental health problems, broken families, extreme crimes, and drugs. With the help of his mother, he obtained success with the male group Prophet Jones. The opportunity was a turning point for Clarence and allowed him to provide a better life for his loved ones.

However, this was short-lived. After losing his record deal in the early 2000s, he started suffering from extreme anxiety and panic attacks, which resulted in several ER visits. Only prayer and having a strong faith could save him at that point. There are many untold stories of “broken” celebrities who lose everything after being at an all-time high. Many never recover from the mental distress that comes along with their fame. However, Clarence is the epitome of finding the diamond through the mud.

Today, he’s known as a celebrity brand and entertainment advisor who’s responsible for enhancing the success of many talents and CEOs. This audiobook is for anyone who is in a rough place and has been unable to get ahead. Clarence shares the different experiences he encountered while on his road to recovery and advises on how you can have a new life, despite the obstacles that come your way. In the end, you’ll come out greater than what you were when you first started on your journey, if only you don’t give up.

After listening to this book, you’ll have a new perspective on life and see that no matter what, it’s all worth it in the end when you find the strength to give it one more try.

The Best Boom

This book was perfect! A few of the chapters really hit home for me especially when he spoke on mental health. I go to therapy and I take my mental health seriously. I would definitely recommend this book to snybody. Thanks again KD!

Only You...

Very well written. The stories are relatable, however, I felt as if the author should have been the voice of his own story. it would have became a more realistic visual for the reader on the journey into his life stories. it just felt blandly narrated & lacked the essence of the author. No one can tell your story better than you. Perhaps the author would consider at least trying to narrate his own audio book next time. Would have liked to hear more about his victories than the triumphs but I guess that's what make it relatable to many.
