Love Nick's narration - elevates this story
Alex (who’s had a rough childhood) suffers again when his bakery goes up in flames and he’s accused of causing it by a closeted fireman, Kevin.
Kevin is super attracted to Alex and that scares him. Though he acts on his passion for Alex with a night of hot sex, he turns into a raging a**hole in the morning and accuses Alex of arson.
Alex is done with being treated like dirt by closet cases and decides to explore a relationship with another fire-fighter who isn’t ashamed to be seen with him.
Kevin is shocked to find out that gay firemen are accepted in his company and really begins to regret how he’s treated Alex – especially when he finds out what an amazing man he really is.
Will Kevin be able to win Alex back or will Alex move on?

Kevin was a douche for 80% of this story so it was hard for me to like him for the nearly perfect Alex. The story was almost too short for me to even really accept them as a couple, but the ending really did put them together in a way that felt pretty solid.
The sex was hot and not a lot of it, which felt appropriate for the story.
I think the fireman aspect felt real to me and it was a nice glimpse at that profession.
As a story by itself I’d give this 3.75 of 5 stars – I liked it but didn’t really LOVE it.
Audio
Nick J Russo is only getting better the more narrations he performs. He gives all the guys in the fire house a unique voice and really brings this story to life. I absolutely think this is the best way to experience this story as his narrations elevates it from a 3 to solid 4.5 of 5 stars. So much fun!
