Publisher's summary

A friends-to-lovers romance that will make you melt.

Oliver’s a dreamer who is always ready for the next big adventure. Piper’s the steady one who keeps his feet on the ground.

He’s wildly successful, thanks to her always being there to catch him when he leaps before he looks. But she wants more. While he’s as clueless as ever.

So, she just gave her two weeks notice.

Ollie doesn’t know how he’ll survive without Piper. So, for the next two weeks, he’ll be sticking to her like the marshmallows on the s’mores she loves so much.

But does he want her as his assistant...or is there a sweeter spot in his life for the woman who's always had his back - and possibly even his heart?

Ollie and Piper - so sweetly sexy together

This book has a wonderful blend of heart melting sweet, nose-snorting geekiness, and fan your face sexy. And the narrators, Jason Clarke and Lili Valente, take a fantastic story and raise it to the next dimension allowing the story to completely surround you and immerse you in the characters’ lives. This story was the perfect way to end this yummy series. Piper and Ollie’s love story has all the feels - you’ll laugh, cry, grit your teeth, huff in frustration, and feel all warm and fuzzy at the end. Piper has been Ollie’s assistant for five years and it’s been obvious to everyone else that they have feelings for each other. Feelings that the two of them are not addressing - at least until the start of the book when Piper makes the choice to quit her job because she’s in love with Ollie. Ollie and Piper appear to be opposites on the surface which would seem to negate a good love match. Ollie is the creative genius of an entire video world. He’s impulsive, forgetful, and needs help sometimes just to remember to eat. Piper is the super organized, competent, always put together bombshell who seems to anticipate and fulfill everyone’s needs before they do. On their way to their HEA, Piper and Ollie find they have more in common than they thought, they want to make other people in their lives happy. They just appear to go about it in different ways. Together they’ll have to learn the best way to fit their lives together as they move forward professionally as well as personally. With Gimme S’more, Erin Nicholas once again proves she’s a fantastic storyteller - and the things you can do with s’more ingredients..whew that is hot.

Great ending to an amazing series!

This is the final book of the Hot Cakes series. This is Oliver and Piper’s story. Absolutely loved this fun, sexy, small town romcom series!! Piper and Ollie are complete opposites and yet they are so perfect for each other. I loved their friendship progress and how much they learned about each other being together outside of the workplace. I enjoyed the funny moments and the emotional moments. This was the perfect wrap up to this series. Lili Valente and Jason Clarke were the perfect voices for this entire series and will be in my re-listening stack.

S'mores have a whole new meaning to me!

Gimme S'more was everything I've been hoping for and more. I've been waiting for Ollie and Piper's story since the first book and it was worth every moment. Their witty banter and genuine friendship is what every book tries to capture, but their journey is one I could read over and over again!

Reading this story for a second time via the audiobook, made me love Piper and Ollie even more. The narrators perfectly bring the characters to life and help create a visual in my mind as the story unfolds! I love this series and am definitely craving s'mores now!

Ollie and Piper

Piper and Ollie's story was worth the wait! This is the final book in the Hot Cakes series although you don't have to listen in order.. Piper is the Assistant to all of the Fluke, Inc owners. She knows what they need before they do. She keeps them all on point, especially Ollie. Piper finally tells Ollie that she's in love with him and then she quits. How is Ollie supposed to survive without Piper? He can't concentrate to write for his game. He finally goes looking for her. When he finds her, he tells her that he can't write without her. She tells him that he'll have to go where she goes since she's not working for him anymore. I love how they work through their budding relationship outside of the office. Do they really know each other? They are learning about each other now. I like how the other Fluke guys come together to support each other. I really enjoy Erin Nicholas' sense of humor. There are many laugh out loud moments in this book. I love that Jason Clarke and Lili Valente bring the characters to life

Sexy & Sweet Story

I loved Ollie and Piper’s story and it was narrated wonderfully by Jason Clarke and Lili Valente. They brought Ollie and Piper’s personalities to life perfectly and I absolutely enjoyed listening to the audiobook just as much as when I first read it. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Funny, funny story. Realistic people. Great!

Gimme S'More by Erin Nicholas is an extremely funny rom-com with a leading mad that is severely ADHD, but a genius of sorts. Oliver Caprinelli is the writer who invented and developed the Warriors of Easton video game empire. His assistant, Piper Barry, had been hired five years ago to keep him in line. About two years ago she discovered she was in love with him and just recently she had come to the decision that being in love with him and working for him not longer worked, so she quit. He didn't know how to do anything for himself, not even get his own coffee and muffins, which came from a store, although he had to put the coffee together. He needed Piper. He went to the bakery and there she was. He told her he needed her, that he was getting no writing done. She told him he's have to come with her to where she was going if he wanted to have her around when her wrote. He did. It turned out it was a half built campground for kids on Drew Ryan's farm. He was not happy that was where she was. He hated Drew. But he got some work done, and so much more.

Gimme S'More is a journey for both Ollie and Piper. Almost, a coming of age for Ollie. He is an amazing character. One of my favorite things is how he refers to Drew most of the time. It won't get past the censors so I can't repeat it here, but it is hilarious. The way Piper talks and thinks about Ollie is also hilarious. He's had a rough time. His ADHD is hard on people. Most people don't think about how hard it is on him sometimes. A lesson for all of us. This book both, audio and print, goes from high point to high point. This who series is worth the read, but since this is the last of the guys' stories, there is so much more to this one because we've known the tow of them longer. The audio is performed by Jason Clarke and Lili Valente and kudos to both of them. Clarke is excellent in the male roles and narrator roles. Lili is good but sounds so tentative much of the time. Sometimes it's perfect but the rest of the time it is too much. The rhythm is great and the book is affective in its audio version. I recommend it having read and listened both, it is a tough choice as to which I prefer.

I was invited to listen to Gimme S'more from Audible by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

“You are my parachute."

I love this series. It has been soooo much fun and I have been waiting for Piper and Ollie’s story since the first book. It was worth the wait and I think I loved the audiobook even more than the actual book. It was so fun to listen to. I have fallen in love with Jason Clarke and Lili Valente's narration of all the books in the Hot Cakes series. They are the perfect duo. Each of them of immediately draws me into the story and gives me all the feels. They are fantastic!!!

“Every time she talked about how she felt about him and being in love with him, it made his chest tight. Not in a bad way, but in an I-want-that way.”

Piper has been in love with Ollie for years. Everybody knows it except for Ollie. He’s clueless so he’s completely taken by surprise when Piper quits her job because she loves him and her feelings make working together problematic. Ollie finds it difficult to function without Piper and he sets out to change her mind.

“She was a rock. Someone who kept him steady. He was able to be a dreamer because she kept his feet on the ground.”

I thought I knew Piper from the other books, but there was so much more to her than I realized. She’s confident and self-assured, organized, and a force to be reckoned with, but she’s also creative and has dreams of her own. She is always taking care of the people that she loves and she thrives on that. Once Ollie starts to see the real Piper, he can’t help but be even more amazed by this woman. She is so supportive of him and his big ideas.

“Because he would do anything for the people who mattered to him. He put friendship and relationships and love ahead of everything else. Ahead of business and money.”

I love Ollie and I was so ready for him to be awestruck by the awesomeness of Piper. He didn’t disappoint me. Ollie had a depth to him that was unexpected. His childhood was difficult so he found it difficult to form attachments, but once he did, he was the most loyal friend you could hope to have. I loved watching his blinders come off and seeing his attraction to Piper bloom. Piper helps open his mind to the possibilities of more and helps him realize his full potential.

“You are my parachute. You are the reason I can even consider jumping in the first place.”

Ollie and Piper’s story was sticky, sweet deliciousness. They were funny and steamy and an absolutely perfect match for each. They both grew so much throughout this story and were truly better together than apart.

I loved how the series came full circle and it was an absolutely perfect ending to this delightfully, fun series. I’m so sad that the series is over because these characters are like old friends. I hope we check up on them again.

Perfect Together

Piper and Ollie are so perfect together. They complement each other in the best way. I loved how the book started with Piper being open and honest and putting herself out there. I admire her confidence so much. I need more heroines like her in my life. It was so amazing to see both of the main characters for who they really are, rather than just from the perspectives of others. Especially Ollie, who has so much under the surface: insecurity, vulnerability, sweetness, and a fierce determination. He’s more than just the head-the-clouds idea guy. And he learned to put ideas into action, with Piper’s trusting support, just like Didi instructed. Ollie’s plan at the end was so perfect for this series.

Been waiting for this one!!

I love Piper and Ollie. The sneak peak we’ve gotten of their relationship throughout the series has been delightful. I love Piper’s sass and Ollie’s realness. I could not imagine a more perfect ending to the hot cakes series - kudos to Erin Nicholas for tying up the loose ends in such a sweet way (punny). Overall 5 stars!! I felt at times the narration was too dramatic. However, the wonderful story easily earns 5 stars - highly recommend.
