Spooky without being too scary for kids

These are short, fun, and spooky stories that would be great for a halloween party or for telling stories around the campfire. My two grandchildren enjoyed some of them, but one 9 year old got a little bit squeemish about going to bed afterward. Still, they are mostly harmless and have some twisty endings that end up being a lot of fun.

Got it for my 9 year old.

got this fun book for my 9 year old since she loves stories before bed and she loves it but I'm actually using it for myself, I now listen to it every night, funny how you never know what you are going to end up liking.

Great kids book for the campfire.

I really loved how this was presented. The easy-listening voice was great. The only thing I did not like was the story about Black Cats being the cause of people's problems. It perpetuates a myth causing black cats to be killed every year.
But really that was my only problem. It is all in all a great kid's book.

Listening to these awesome, scary stories with my nephew was so much fun! We loved the part about a haunted house and a spooky guide in the forest. Oh, and the ghost looking for treasure? Wow, so cool!
