Great story

Story was awesome, I really enjoy this series. I enjoyed the narration but I think it would’ve been better with an actual female voice. The narrator couldn’t really do a good female voice. He sounded winded when he’d narrate for her character.

I love Military Romance!

This was my first Janie Crouch's book, and definitely won't be my last. Ghost & Shadow is an amazing boxed set that includes books 5 and 6 in The Linear Tactical Series, a military romance. Unfortunately, I haven't listened to the first books in the Series. At first, I felt like I was missing some backstory. Despite that, it's easy to follow the stories. Ghost and Shadows's stories are well written, complex, thrilling, suspenseful, action packed, and entertaining, filled with twists and turns, danger, and mystery. The main characters are strong, caring, and supportive. The team members are great and intriguing. The world building is captivating. I enjoyed it. Tom Campbell did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to more books in this Series. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Hooked from the start!!

Intense. Intense. Intense. These audiobooks had me hooked from start to finish, I loved these stories. They feature the same group from the Linear Tactical company with the added element of a deeply covert group with shady dealings. Even though the books are standalone, I think this series is best enjoyed in order because there are small references to characters, situations and events that link the stories (but not in a way that dilutes their stand-alone-ness).

Ghost had not been a part of this deeply covert group for many years. He left after several weeks of being held captive and tortured. He has scars, both physically and mentally, and PTSD. He also literally gets shot by an arrow from his past.
Grace comes back from the dead and into his life with two things. First is information that the covert group they were a part of was not government sanctioned (unbeknownst to them). And second is that all the people associated with the group are being killed. As for their personal history and relationship, there is a lot to figure out but they are definitely stronger together.

Shadow is another operative from the same covert group. Some of the issues were addressed Ghost's story but Shadow has a lot of gibberish tumbling around.in his brain and, as such, has his own issues. He is in pursuit of the only known person from the group who could have answers for him but he reaches a dead end. He opts to pick up his life and becomes involved in a project involving the FBI and the biochem department of a local college. Undercover at th university, he encounters beautiful, shy, PhD in linguistics student Lynn Norris. Shadow needs to figure out how to manage a budding attraction with his undercover work, all while keeping Lynn safe. Only Lynn isn't quite who she seems to be!

Loved it all! The characters, the nail-biting suspense and the happily-ever-afters!
