Publisher's Summary

Jilted by text message.
Honeymooning with her grandma.

Getting dragged along anyway on her Hawaiian honeymoon by her self-centered sister and irreverent grandma is the icing on the horrible wedding-day cake.

Can Kai, the resort's hunky and talented chauffeur/bartender/flame-thrower, turn this disaster of a trip into a romantic adventure to last a lifetime?

Or will his mysterious secrets keep their love from blossoming?

Great RomCom & Audible Listen🎧 Enjoyable Fun!

This is a delightful story, a great balance of humor and heart. I enjoyed Anna Omasta’s writing, as well as her narration. The storylines and characters she created are interesting, they immediately grabbed my attention and held it right to the end. Roxy was a jilted bride, she received a text from her fiancé on their intended wedding day telling her he couldn’t do it and he was in love with her best friend. Her grandmother, Baggy, takes charge, whisks Roxy and her sister Ruthie away in her fiance’s car. Her grandmother is a hoot, love how she got her name Baggy and she sure lived up to it. Next step for the trio is the honeymoon in Hawaii, unknown where they were booked to stay, thankfully someone from the resort is holding up a sign with her ex’s last name. That someone was Kai, a tall hunk of a man who looks like Jason Momoa. A bit of confusion is cleared up and he brings them to the resort. I loved how everything plays out, Baggy meets someone, Ruthie meets someone who then crushes her heart and Roxy and Kai hit it off too. Ann Omasta fit a lot of story into this book, the dialogue is hysterical at times and there are some sweet heartfelt moments as well. Is there a HEA for Roxy, what kind of trouble does Baggy get herself into. I highly recommend this book, it is entertaining and will put a smile on your face.

I listened to the Audible edition, Ann Omasta did a wonderful job narrating her story. She not only created these characters but she brings them to life right off of the pages giving each their own voice and personality. She was awesome at projecting the emotions of the characters into her performance as well as the humor and the drama. Thank you for this great story and listen 🎧

Silly but Fun Jilted Bride and Crazy Family RomCom

Getting Lei'd is the first book in The Escape Series but it can be read as a stand-alone book. This book is narrated by the author.

Roxie is in her wedding dress and ready for her big day when she gets a text message that her groom ran off with her best friend. So instead, her crazy sister and crazier Grandma, take her to her Hawaiian honeymoon.

Kai picks them up at the airport, bartends at the resort, is part of the evening entertainment and an all around nice guy. Roxie enjoys spending time with him but she isn't in a place to start a new relationship, until she is. They have a sexy vacation fling. It means a lot to both of them, but Roxie leaves for home afterwards anyhow breaking Kai's heart. During all this is rom com humor is the form of her crazy family and all their antics. A HEA happens when Roxie realizes what she left behind.

Second chances

When Roxy finds out her fiancee run away, in her wedding day, she's devastated. Her sister and grandma convinces her to go to her honeymoon in Hawaii, with them!
Devastated and heartbroken, she doesn't expect to find joy or happiness in this trip, but life always surprises you.
This book is a lovely rom com, with amazing characters and funny moments.
The narration is by Ann Omasta, I really enjoyed it.

Hawaiian Honeymoon for One

Being dumped at the altar via text message turns out to be the best thing that could happen to Roxy as she takes her honeymoon trip with her sister and "bad grandma".
Exotic, tropical Hawaii provides the backdrop for this sweet, quirky and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny rom-com narrated by the always entertaining Ann Omasta. If you can't afford your own Hawaiian vacation this summer, Getting Lei'd will provide you with a delightful escape and the chance to meet some off the most charming, interesting and down-right fun characters you'll find in the romance field.

A cute short story

This is a cute little story. Roxy started out in a bad spot but as the story rolls forward her luck starts changing. I was surprised at Kai with how he acted and at the end how sweet. This is about changing your stripes and letting loose.

This is a first time author for me that I listened to on audio. She also read the book. At the beginning it seemed stilted but as the story went on I didn’t notice it as much. So the flow must have gotten better.

A Fun Lighthearted Romance

This is a fun and lighthearted romance. Listening to Roxy and Kai's journey to their HEA. Roxy has a hard time letting go and enjoying life, especially after being jilted via text. Kai is a wonderful and caring person who helps Roxy relax after such a horrible ordeal. Then you add Ruthy and Baggy...yeah, a humorous and warm romantic comedy ensues. The narration was well done. I had some reserve about the author narrating, generally it doesn't work out well but Ann Omasta does a great job. My only suggestion is to work on her male voices, to make them more distinctive. Overall, this is a fun and lighthearted romance with a surprisingly well done narration.

Carpe Diem

This was one of the ebooks I've gotten written by Ann Omasta. I almost forgot about it until I was pleasantly surprised that there's an audio version! I didn't hesitate to get a copy and started the book during my non-thinking moments, while doing muscle memory only jobs. I enjoyed it! I loved Baggy and Ruthie! Rozy is totally lucky to have them as family. I think without them, she wouldn't have realised that she dodged a bullet as soon as she did and she wouldn't have found the perfect man for her. Oh my gosh! The world needs more of Kai! He's such a gentleman and so down-to-earth. I think their story was so sweet. Although I agree that their romance was a shotgun one but I applaud them for knowing that their love was real. It's a nice, feel good read that brought me a lot of laughs and made me blush a lot.

wedding gpne wrong

this was a beautifully written and performed by Rene Rose, story about picking up the pieces after receiving a text message calling off the wedding hours before.
there were many laughs, a few tears, but best of all a HEA. Kai seems like a beautiful soul and perfect for the jiltee bride. Maggie and Baggy are quite the extroverts who leave you shaking your head or laughing out loud.
I absolutely loved this book!

A Fun Hawaiian Adventure!

After Roxy is left at the altar, she goes on her "honeymoon" with her grandmother, Baggy, who is a hoot, and her sister, Ruthie. Together the three of them embark on a Hawaiian adventure full of love and fun in the sun. This book is the love story of Roxy and Kai and also the beginning of The Escape Series. Ann Omasta did a nice job writing and narrating this sweet story. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Roxy & Kai!

What a fun listen this is! Take me to Hawaii! Roxy is jilted at the alter when her fiance and best friend run off together. To help with her situation, her grandmother takes her on her honeymoon to Hawaii, and our story begins! Roxy is a great character. While a little hesitant, she truly just want to get back on the saddle again. Kai is the bartender, and he seems to appear everywhere. Good looking, Roxy assumes he can have any woman, but his attraction is for her. These two are so entertaining as they trip over each other and try to find their way together. But the real break out in this book is Roxy's grandmother. What a hoot that woman is! Spunky and unashamed of anything she does, she is willing to live life and enjoy it. It's a great story of family, love, second chances, and living and enjoying life! I loved it. Ann Omasta not only writes this amazing story, but she narrates it with all the humor, passion and fun. Not all authors can narrate, but she brings her characters to life as they are meant to be. Love her stories and keep looking for more!
