Publisher's summary

The Agile community has always needed a tell-all audiobook on early starts in Scrum that reflects not only on the insights and theories of thought leaders from the Cohn signature series but on updated experience collected from the Agile trenches. What happens in the wild varies widely, and with digital landscape changing at an exponential rate, so do the demands of the Agile marketplace.

This audiobook will help you save months if not years of figuring out the avoidable hardships of the early Scrum career. The author busts myths and cuts to the chase with reliable advice and shortcuts necessary to bypass some of the early growing pains of the servant leader to make you competitive in a market saturated with Scrum Masters and Scrum Master impostors.

In addition to practical knowledge, Adison offers an unfiltered scoop on all essential skills, organizations, certifications, disciplines, and potential pitfalls that future, beginner, and intermediate Scrum Masters and servant leaders need to know. The author does not shy away from controversial Agile topics and talks at liberty about the things most in the Agile Industrial Complex would prefer you did not know.

one of my top reads

For anyone interested in how to master the basics of Scrum team leadership, this book is essential reading/listening (I prefer the voice of the recording artist to reading this although I bought the Kindle copy as well to search for terms in informative sections such as the certification and organizations ones). It succinctly lays out the business case for landing a job and early to mid ScrumMaster development and offers a useful model with several applied situational cases that nicely bridge the gap between theory and practice. This is the most contemporary and real life reference on early (and not only) Agile team leadership development I have come across and I plan to refer to it regularly. This and the author's other work are highly recommended
