Publisher's Summary

Earth is alive. Deep beneath her skin is our planet's life blood. Rivers of molten iron, pushing around a core - her beating heart. This moving, fluid iron generates the magnetic field maintaining the delicate balance of life on earth. Until she has a change of heart.

International best-selling author Bobby Akart delivers pulse-pounding thrills in The Geostorm Series, the story of a planet-changing phenomenon, a natural disaster brought about by the Earth itself.

The Earth's magnetic field surrounds our planet like an invisible force field connected by a north and south pole. It's what makes compasses point north and it protects our atmosphere from the continual bombardment of geomagnetic storms from the Sun. Without a magnetic field, the planet's atmosphere would be stripped away leaving critical infrastructure at risk and humanity exposed to deadly radiation. What happens when these poles begin to wander? This field grows weaker with deadly consequences for all of humanity. The change in the world's climate could change the face of the planet as we know it.

Listeners will become enthralled with the discoveries of Chapman Boone, former storm chaser, and full-time field meteorologist who begins to experience extraordinary weather anomalies. His sister, Kristi Boone, is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine known for being attune to the exotic animals within her care. At first, the changes in the animals' behavior are subtle...until they aren't. Follow the story of the Squire and Sarah Boone family, Indiana farmers and their children who begin to recognize the signs of The Shift.

Good story, painful narration.

Good story but the narrator's attempt of a French accent is so grating I'm having difficulty finishing this audible book. Very frustrating.

Great read

I don’t think I have ever read a book by Bobby Akart, that I didn’t like. This is another great book by him. I can’t wait until the next book in this Series comes out.

Full tilt excitment from the first chapter.

What can I say Bobby Akart has done it again. Great characters great writing. One of the greatest things is that your learn along the way with the outstanding research he does. Chris Abernathy absolutely does an amazing job with every single character and animal in this book. I cannot wait for book #2, 3 or even more.

Mad and disappointed!!!

I’m a fan of this author, but this first book is a rush job! Taking bits of readily available scientific research results of climate change (easily found in Google!), and some known history of the Earths magnetic polls reversing; mashing it up together, sprinkle in some “plausible” psychiatric effects on animals, and call it a predictable day!
Water spouts with captive row boats and their rowers swirling about in the vortex’s? I mean Cmon! I am just so peeved about this amateur effort from a better known author. I wrote stories like this when I was in High school!
This Author knows better than to peddle off a half baked doughy attempt as a worthy book to his valued fans. What the heck? Was the Author suffering from an illness or hospitalization when writing this? It’s the only explanation I could find sympathy with.

Disappointed

The first 2 hours of this audio were boring and hard to get into. At this point I went back and started reading the reviews. They were all 4 to 5 stars. So I'm thinking it gets better. I stuck it out and listened to the remainder of the book. It did pick up at the point Chapman met Elizabeth. Then it really started getting interesting. As soon as the story was climaxing it ended. What a disappointment! Then to fill what I'm guessing is some type of time allotment for audible. The author fills about an hour of the book plugging himself and all of his other books.
As someone who's purchased many of his books I was extremely let down. Maybe if the author wants to redeem himself. Stop selling this book till you finish the series and sell it as a package deal.

Out of this world Awesome!

Another great series in the making! I can’t wait for Book 2. The array of characters are extremely likable and the variety of around the world locations are easy to follow along with. As always Mr Akart has done his research, and turned it into an award winning series! And Mr Abernathy has again done a fantastic job of narration!

Every new book you write, the scarier they are.

In the progression of your books, I begin to realize how much research you have to do to have all the facts to write your books. I really have enjoyed the 36 books of yours I've purchased and listened to.
Note to Chris Abernathy, I know you commented about having to learn the accent. Well, you do a pretty good job of a French accent. :)

Incredibly thrilling, exciting and a little romance!

HUGE fan of Author Bobby Akart, this might be my new favorite. Thrilling, adventurous, educational, loving the family relationships, the history and the romance. It’s everything to keep you reading or listening and wanting more. Was so good I read it first and then listen to in audible. Chris Abernathy, does an amazing job! Looking forward to book 2!!! Enjoy!!!
