absolutely amazing

the story was amazing, the character growth was well defined and i absolutely love rockslide

Loved it

It was nice to have a fresh take on the Genie genre. Definitely not for the kiddos but I appreciate adult fantasy.

David is basically an everyday lunk head that gets thrown into one fantastical situation after another.

This was an exciting litsten. Plenty of action, some sex scenes and a few tears. The narration was excellent.

Clever and entertaining

Geniecide is well written, well plotted, and full of sardonic humor. It’s got lots more sex than I’m used to in an audiobook, but also has Rockslide! Overall, it is a very entertaining audio.

Creative

I really enjoyed the story concept along with the creative of the story. I suggest giving it a little bit of a listen or try to read it if yourself.

Kylah Williams is a New Favorite Voice Actor!!!

I tried to listen to this book several times. The premise was sooooo promising. Stories of the Jinn are so few and far in between. However, the story seemed to be written by a man who never left his teenage angst behind. He attempts to sound "woke" to gender and society, but the story (as far as I could get) was filled with slightly sexist/misogynistic, silliness. I groaned in disappointment a lot at so many of his trite comments.

The narrator was seriously good! Her voices were often subtle and never over the top to make a change in character believable. I only write this review because of the voice actor. Her tone suited my ears very well and I look forward to listening to books featuring this voice. I do wish Mr Hough well and hope his future books are more evolved.

Unique Genie Spin- Adult Read 18+

*** Parental Warning- R to X movie level depending on how detailed the producer is. There is a ton of profanity, 10 f-bombs in the first 15% of the book along with too many other words to count. After a little while the amount of bad language really dumbed down the writing. Violence is moderate. The sexual content is also very heavy, lots of insinuations, naked descriptions, and many detailed sex scenes.

I have to admit I was unable to finish this one because of the extreme level of the content in the book. It quickly became a ronchy porno centered around a genie theme. I had high hopes because it sounded like a fun unique spin but it was quickly destroyed by the direction the author chose to go.

The narrator did a great job but was a bit slow, I found 1.25x speed to be more normal paced.
