Publisher's summary

Dragon-warrior Venom lives in self-imposed isolation. Cursed by his toxic touch, he is deadly to anyone who has contact with him for too long. Set apart from others and hounded by intense loneliness, he craves the lasting connection he believes he cannot possess. Until a chance encounter with a sultry mortal offers a ray of hope...

Evelyn Foxe is the woman of Venom's every desire, but she's too busy running from the Russian mob to think about love. As she accepts Venom's offer to help her escape her precarious situation, she's skeptical, afraid that he's in league with those sent to harm her. But when a biological weapon is unleashed in her hometown, Evelyn is forced to trust Venom - or risk the dangers of going it alone.

Will they survive the firestorm that rages around them? And can they pull from the ashes a love that will defy all the odds and last through the ages?

I Love It!

This series has been a refreshing change for me and I am so glad I came across it! I read a lot of PNR with vampires, werewolves and other things that go bump in the night, so why not dragons too!

Venom’s story is my favorite in the series. However, I like how Coreene is not just focused on the two main characters but tells the story of the other characters as well. I give the story 4.5 stars as the ending of the book was a little awkward to me.

Cole did an amazing job narrating and I will be on the lookout for other books he narrates.

I recommend this book and series for anyone who enjoys PNR.

Coreene please don't keep us waiting long for the next book!

Not up to par

The performance was fantastic, the story was mediocre. I started these books for the romance aspect and accepted the little bits of drama, now it's doing what the Black Dagger Brotherhood did and becoming all about the battle and not about the couples. I'll give the next book a shot but if it's like this, it will be my last, unfortunately.

Outstanding

So well written. A story you'll want to listen again and again.
I like how the author moved about in her description of the events of this story as though it were being viewed on a screen.
Well done, and well worth the $.

REVIEW:
Venom is the one Dragonfury warrior that never thought he would ever find his mate. Yet a night of going AWOL Venom has done just that. Despite everything thing that make him up he finally found her. But being the hopeless romantic he is, Venom wants to woo Evelyn the way a human would. But that means letting her walk away.
By walking away, Evelyn just went from the fry pan into the fire.

Evelyn Foxe has not been have a good couple of months. First she get’s fired, then she finds out that mob is after her because of her mother, and lastly she finds herself doing something she never would have ever thought she would have to do. But when her first John walks through the door there is something, something very strange about this man. Yet, she is drawn to him.
But she must walk away. Because if she doesn’t walk away right now you may never want to leave him ever.

Venom!!!! Yay!!! Finally Venom get’s his story.

I enjoyed Venom story, although I was a little sad that Venom had to share so much of his story with Ivar and Gage. These storylines are important to the series, but I really wanted more of Venom. There were also a few questions and topics that I felt were left unresolved. I am hoping that we will get some closure on these in the next book. Overall, I loved Venom’s story.

We got a new narrator for Fury of Obsession. This is the first time that I have listened to Cole Ferguson. I will say that at first I was a little confused and sad, mostly because I was use to the old narrator. But after a little bit and a few chapters I started to enjoy Cole. I will say that I think he did Venom perfectly *fans self*. I mean come on Venom is danger wrapped in yummy.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series and I hope that Cole will continue as the narrator. Question is who is next?

could have been better

To much focus on fighting or other elements of the the story. Not enough development of the romance, it is just not believable.

The plot thickens

Now normally I don't like it when you get used to a characters voice and then they change so after four books of hearing the same voice for the night fury characters I was debating whether or not I liked the new voice. Surprisingly he did really good the only voice I didn't like was forges and Macs I don't think he did their voices very well but other than that he did the rest of the night furies pretty stinking good. Now onto the book I cannot wait for the next book to come out while you can read the books alone because they each tell the story about a particular night fury and how they find their mate each story interlocks with the other to tell a whole. And the plot thickens on the world seen on what's going on in the whole, so wow. In all the other books I thought of venom as the carefree Butthead jokester of the group but in this book we really understand that that was all deflection and why he was that way and it was great to know more about his character. As always there is action drama suspense love everything that just pulls you in sucks you in and makes you want more and more. I am now on pins and needles waiting for the next book to come out.

concrete formulae

No new twists, turns, or surprises. Last in the series for me. different dragon same tired format. jumping from extreme torture to oooo ee gooie no feeling love scenes. raise slot A and slide slot B insert C . it's r ally a shame as this series had potential. A let down. These are huge lethal dragons!!. I come away with out finding any strength in the characters. I fell asleep several times and elected eventually not to rewind. just fast forward to get it over with. a sad waste of my credit..

Not your best but wouldn't ask for my credit back

Week sequel compared to other books. Too many story lines little depth into each except for the main virus story line. This book read as a set up for the next book.
