Jessica barely escapes with her life, thanks to her ex-boyfriend, Michael Redman, the local deputy sheriff.

Michael Redman never expected to see Jessica again. Not after the way things ended between them. Once she's out of harm's way, she's acting strange. He believes her story but can't shake the feeling that she's hiding something. When she wants to get away from him, she takes the danger with her and her best friend could end up being the second victim. He doesn't blame her for not wanting his protection. While battling guilt and a painful past, Jessica tries to evade a killer and keep away from Michael. Both prove to be nearly impossible. She must guard her heart against the man guarding her.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!!

Action, mystery, second chance romance

This book was more action and mystery than romance, The h and H dated in college but were victims of an abusive friend that broke them up and manipulated the H to marry her. After the H's divorce, they end up crossing paths in a murder that the h unknowingly gets involved in. The story has some twists and some obvious parts that I could see a mile away. Overall, it was a good story.

Lots of action in this gripping romantic suspense. Good story, well written and a second chance romance. The audio narration was well done and enjoyable

Action Packed Romantic Suspense Thriller!

When Jessica Everett gets too close to a murder in progress, becoming the killers next target, it falls to Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Redman to protect her. A task that would be much easier if they didn’t have a past, a painful and very unresolved past. “Fury in the Shadows” is a fast paced, character driven, romantic suspense thriller that kept me on my toes guessing, late into the night! The writing is fantastic, the characters well defined, and spanning the full range of likability! The dialogue is not only beautifully written, it sounds authentic and rings true! But what really had me over the moon was that neither main character was “cookie cutter perfect”. Both made mistakes, mistakes that had consequences, mistakes that made them feel REAL, not only adding depth to the story, but lending an absolute air of authenticity, truly making this a believable and engrossing listen! I loved it! The icing on the cake was the clear, emotionally appropriate narration that brought “Fury in the Shadows” to life, making listening easy! I loved everything about this one! Five stars across the board!
