The narrator makes the book...sorta

Well, IMHO. Bray just seems to pick up on the snarky dialogue and smoothly switches personas as the plot unfolds. You really have to listen to keep up.

Ok, some bias here...have to admit to being a DF fan as well.

Worth listening to the entire series, that hopefully, has yet another title.

I thoroughly enjoyed it

I really liked it and wish it had been a bit longer.

spoiler: with the way that it ends I'm hoping that's not the end of the series. I would love to see it keep going. Does it?

Also RC Bray rocks, as always. The voices he gives these characters fits their persona so well.

please make a 4th book to this series!

Great story, great characters, and great narration.

This trilogy offers a captivating auditory experience. The author skillfully crafts believable character development across the three volumes, fostering genuine reader empathy. This feat is particularly impressive given the rapid pace typical of the genre. Furthermore, RC Bray’s narration exhibits remarkable versatility, effortlessly embodying each character through subtle shifts in tone and inflection. I eagerly anticipate the possibility of a future installment.

A nice wrap to a good series

The book was a nice ending to this exciting story, I wish it had been a 4 or 5 book series but I felt like nothing was put in as fluff and every chapter mattered.

Good story with flawed philosophy

The writing was great, and R. C. Bray’s performance was phenomenal as always. After listening to the entire book, I found it to be very entertaining with enough intrigue and character development for me to really care about the characters.
My only minor qualm is with the heavy handed feminism, and when I say heavy handed I mean on top of the usual stuff we see in every kind media these days, there’s a point in the story where one male character remarks to another about how testosterone makes men worse leaders than women because it makes men do testosteroney things. That’s bordering on sexism. I don’t personally give a darn, just figured I’d make folks aware. Woke authors are nothing new. If you can ignore that aspect, there’s a pretty good story here. There’s also a brief comparison of humans to a virus or parasite on the planet, which again is nothing new, but hence the “flawed philosophy” I mentioned in my title.
