If you’ve ever wondered why Squibs are never offered a place at Hogwarts, what happened when Vernon Dursley first met James Potter, or how Dumbledore and McGonagall formed their lifelong friendship, From the Wizarding Archive should go straight to the top of your wish list. Containing 80 articles written by J.K. Rowling for the original Pottermore website and available for the first time in audio, exclusively from Audible, Harry Potter fans everywhere are in for a treat.

If there’s one thing Harry Potter fans have in common (apart from impeccably good taste), it’s questions… so many questions. From the simple details that perplex us all – was Professor Umbridge always that awful? Why don’t wizards just use phones? – to the personal details that bring us closer to J.K. Rowling’s writing process – from her least favourite school subject and its impact on Professor Snape’s career, to the personal significance of King’s Cross and why it’s always where the Hogwarts Express departs – this is a veritable treasure trove of answers.

Narrated by Evanna Lynch, Hugh Quarshie, Finlay Robertson and Lara Sawalha, and with an exclusive foreword by Evanna Lynch, this spellbinding audiobook is essential listening for any Harry Potter aficionado.

The articles in From the Wizarding Archive were originally written by J.K. Rowling for pottermore.com and remain free to read in English on wizardingworld.com. 35 of the 80 articles were originally published across three Pottermore Presents eBooks. This is the first time any of the content has been available in audio format.

Theme music composed by Sara Carvalho.

Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

A must have for Harry Potter Fans. Rowling's articles are fantastic and a must have for fans.

The introductions are entirely different, If you only saw the movies, read the books only once, read them a long time ago or love going down memory lane, the intros are fine. If you've read the books many times, the intros are ANNOYING! the intros are either a rehash of the books regards the content of the article or asking questions that the article answers (why bother?) The rehash intros are like "When Draco first met Harry, he tried to be Harry's friend but quickly found it wasn't going to happen."

To put it simply, the intros are useless fillers that have no purpose other than to get the length of the book to be longer, which is unnecessary. The Rowling material is fantastic and I'd happily buy a Rowling only version with none of the intros.

Great Rowling stuff, horrible introductions

The story is interesting, and the narrators are good. The background “stuff” is distracting and annoying. Tempted to return this one.

Background Noise!

I love the list of ministers of magic through the years and other bits of great information not mentioned in most of the storylines. However, there are a few spots that are thin or they don’t go fully into and others are just left blank like who made the chamber secrets is mentioned, but the room of requirement isn’t. Although overall, it’s a nice addition. I just wish it had more of the facts on other missing bits that even this connected bits of information seem to point at but largely skip over for some reason.

Lots of great information

I didn't think that JK would accomplish what she did when I first read Harry Potter as a kid, but she does it again in this book. she rekindles the love and passion that I have for this franchise and lore.

Wow! Great read!

Hey everyone, thanks for reading this! Unlike most of you, I stumbled upon the Harry Potter audiobooks about five years ago and have been hooked ever since. I love both the US and British versions, so when I heard about this audiobook, I couldn’t resist pre-ordering it.

From the Wizarding Archive is a magical treasure trove of info about Harry Potter, with 80 articles written by J.K. Rowling for the original Pottermore website. As a huge fan who’s almost 42, Harry Potter is still my all-time favorite series. Spending eight hours immersed in this incredible world, created by J.K. Rowling, was an absolute blast.

Harry Potter fans everywhere should totally grab this. The narration by Evanna Lynch, Hugh Quarshie, Finlay Robertson, and Lara Sawalha is top-notch. The soundscape is super immersive, with subtle sound effects and atmospheric music composed by Sara Carvalho. If you want to dive deeper into Harry’s world, learn more about his family, some of the teachers, and all the cool details that didn’t make it into the original books, you owe it to yourself to listen to this awesome audio production.
