Publisher's summary

Few humans in the history of civilisation have had a third series of their podcast commissioned. Fewer still have produced one that’s actually any good. Partridge Gordon Alan, or Alan Gordon Partridge to write his name the correct way round, is one of them.

Now as comfortable at the controls of a podcast as he is driving all cars and doing most swimming strokes, Alan returns with a series that whooshes and pinballs around the many areas (there are approximately nine) of his life and brain. And with no regular, contracted broadcasting work to clutter up his days, Alan is free to focus on matters closer to home. Still based at his quasi-rural oasthouse, which now boasts a significantly better kettle than in series one and two, he shares with us thoughts, ideas, hopes and dreams spread across eleven episodes with a mean duration of the twenty minutes stipulated in the contract. Would a better approach have been to let the content of each episode dictate its length? Of course it would but that’s a discussion for another day.

So join Alan as he tackles the green eyed monster of envy in his attempts to keep hold of his new love, as he navigates how to re-invigorate an increasingly distracted personal assistant, as he vies for one of the most sought-after car-related ambassadorial positions in all of east Anglia, and as he seeks to track down an old Geordie friend long-presumed dead.

They say there’s nothing more boring than the mundanities of everyday life. Well, Alan’s podcast focuses on literally nothing else. We hope you enjoy it.

He should really try stand up?

it's big poppa Partridge for goodness sake, you'd have to be as dumb as a farmer to not love this podcast. I've always felt a kinship with the man.....I had my own dalliance with the Toblerone addiction demon, damn the Swiss.

Perfection

Literally absolutely nothing to dislike and everything to like. Alan if you’re listening, I love you. In a strictly platonic way as men on the golf course might love each other after a particularly good chip onto the green.

Oh my god, he absolutely has to try stand up.

Great to hear Alan team back up with a man who’s spent far too long in the shadow of this podcast. He may not be particularly coherent, often he’s not the sharpest tool in the box and his appearance is sometimes enough to make one -physically sick- but nonetheless, a warm welcome back to Grant Schapps.

Gotta try stand-up....

Coogan and Company continue to produce such smart comedy with the latest iteration of the always- evolving Alan Partridge. So grateful for a 3rd season. From the Oasthouse has joined Mid Morning Matters as my personal favorites of the canon. Thank you, Mr. Coogan and the Gibbons fellows!

AbsoBloodyFantastic!

The latest from the Oasthouse does not disappoint! I hungrily preordered and voraciously consumed it on my long drive. It had me laughing out loud and begging for more, like a middle aged divorcee on a one night stand!

Alan, the genius of the “Oxo-Chippy’s” was literally small potatoes compared to the overall Chef’s Special of laughs and innuendo!

Don’t hesitate to listen, Coogan’s writing ages like a vintage wine (and I’m not talking about that half bottle of Blue Nun!)

Thanks for the hard work Steve, we love and appreciate you!

Fantastic

If you’re a fan of the Partridge you’re going to love this. Season 3 ties in perfectly with the previous two seasons.
