Abraham was truly a great man. He was also a friend of God. Yes, that's right: he was a friend of God. In fact, the Lord himself makes this statement: "But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend."
Not even Moses, whom God had spoken to face-to-face, was given the designation of "friend." Indeed, God referred to Moses as His servant.
So how was such a relationship possible? How could a man, made of the dust of the earth, become friends with an all-powerful, all-knowing supreme being? Let Dr. John Hargrove provide some answers for you. And let him show how you, too, can we enjoy that same kind of relationship with God.

This does not mean his parables are full of esoteric information that only a select few can grasp. Indeed, Christ's enemies often understand exactly what his parables mean; the problem is their refusal to trust his teaching about himself and God's kingdom.
