Publisher's summary

The holidays have arrived, and nothing is going to steal the joy of Roxanne Bloom’s first Christmas in Honey Springs.

The town’s annual Christmas in the Park is underway and includes a Christmas Paw-rade that’ll help the furry residents at Pet Palace get a home for Christmas. It’s not the four-legged creatures that steal the show, it’s the pair of legs sticking out from the Christmas tree lighting ceremony that has all the town talking.

The suspects are piling up faster than the falling snow, while a murderer is on the loose. Roxy can’t let this ruin her first Christmas in Honey Springs and soon realizes it’s the ghosts of Christmas past that holds the real clues. But can she get this mystery solved in time for the holidays?

Includes holiday recipes from The Bean Hive!

Freshly Ground Murder - mistakes were made

Cute book but the change in narrator (from previous books) was jarring. Also , the quality of the recording is dreadful. It’s like it was recorded in a hotel room closet.

Terrible audio

Sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. Narrator was over the top. Story was not Kappes’s best either.

Great light "read" with characters you like

Love the series! Light, entertaining, perfect with a vup of coffee on my deck! However the audible production for this book is really bad. There are technical problems and narrator problems. I may finish it on my Kindle. The next one in the series is much better from an audible perspective and the first two were great.

Wish they would redo this audible version.

Quick and easy to follow

The narration was a bit off but the story was good. I don’t like when the narrators fake accents and voices.

Garage recording?

The story was fine, but that’s it. It was kind of sappy and syrupy and short… And it was like you tried to do it in a hurry to get it out for Christmas. I’m not sure, but the audio recording was such poor quality! And it seems as though you don’t have an editor because sentences were repeated a couple of times each and it sounds like you recorded it in your garage or your bathroom. The girl who voices it has a decent enough voice, but the recording is just so bad!

coffee, coffee, coffee

I received a free code for this book.
The story wasn't too involved, and was a pleasant easy listen while I am working. Well narrated.

Entertaining plot but production issue.

The story captivated me. I really like the narrator but it wasn't a clean recording. There was static at the beginning of each chapter and the recording skipped back 5-10 seconds and repeated itself multiple times. Does anyone ever listen to these recording all the way through before offering them for sale?

New narrator disappoints

The narrator for the first two audiobooks in this series was quite good. This narrator, not so much. She repeats lines, mispronounces words and basically lacks the talent required to perform a book of this sort. I see that the next volume has a different narrator. Hoping for the best.

Great story, horrible narration.

I love this series and this story was great. The audio was terrible. The narrator was just okay but it’s the quality that was terrible. Not only were there several lines repeated, the recording sounded like is was done at home, in someone’s bathroom. The first two were good and I sampled book 4 and it doesn’t sound bad, so I’ll give it chance. Do not waste a credit on this one.
