Exciting and intense!

This is an exciting and intense domestic/psychological thriller story! The book is filled with twists, turns and surprises. I was sucked into the plot quickly, as there is lots of action and suspense!

A longtime friendship between Donna and Lou isn’t all that it’s made out to be. There’s jealously, and betrayal too!!
I like the way Maria Frankland tells stories. I find her books to be engaging and descriptive.

I listened to the audio version and I really enjoyed the narrator.

This is a 3 book series, and I’m excited to move on to book 2!

Frankland delivers yet again
this was a gripping, addictive thriller with lots of frustrations- Right from the start this book had my blood boiling - I hated one character and was super frustrated by another!!!
I enjoyed this book as I've enjoyed all Maria's books

Marvelous narration by Jenny Myers of Maria Frankland’s Frenemy. Jenny has narrated several of Maria’s gripping, twisty novels, and each time I’ve been delighted to listen along while reading the ebook or physical book. Jenny has quite a range of authentic British voices and again doesn’t disappoint with Frenemy.

As for the book itself, what a wild assortment of characters for a unique domestic/psychological thriller! Maria quickly became one of my top favorite UK authors when I came out of my reading slump. I always enjoy the depth of her character development, and I especially loved how this plot unraveled. I never saw the ending coming with Frenemy. Or just when I thought I reached the ending, there was more, and even more again! Looking forward to the next one titled The Fall Out.

Jenny Myers narration makes the characters come alive with her spot on accents and performance. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Maria Frankland is one author who will keep you coming back for more!! FRENEMY features a very controlling and interfering "best friend". The author's intimate exploration of personalities and psychological analysis is beyond excellent not to mention exceedingly entertaining!

You will be yelling at the main character

I greatly enjoyed this book and it kept me guessing and wondering why on earth the main character would trust this "friend." The performances and the writing are both great and I couldn't wait to move on to Book 2 and hear more.

frenemies til the very end

lou and donna are friends but things go bad between them after so many years this was a great listen fast paced and had me guessing what would happen after every chapter narration was good too perfect for each character
