A beautiful and much needed book, especially for pastors

I have read countless books and attended many conferences and saturated myself well with voices of inspiration, strategy, vision, best practices and the like, all in hopes to become a better and more effective ministry leader. And while all of these resources have been incredibly helpful, most of them on their own can do no more than help you look and perform your best on the outside.

This book addresses what is unseen but deeply felt in all followers of Jesus. We know there must be more to our faith and the Gospel than building great things, doing great work, and working hard as great stewards. But very few voices call us into those deeper waters. Butcher’s work here brings us back into the tender presence of Jesus and reminds us of why we can do nothing apart from the deep and pervasive love of Jesus.
