Publisher's Summary

Having my birth mother back in my life? To say it's a big transition is an understatement. Especially when she's basically a stranger to me, and I'm not sure yet whether I can trust her to be any more maternal than the average fearmancer parent (which, spoiler, isn't much).

Unfortunately, the other barons aren't giving me time to ease into the situation. They've turned their sights on my fellow scions and newfound lovers, putting them under fire from far too close to home. As if that wasn't enough, an unsettling plan is unfolding that threatens every student on campus.

I'm starting to think there's more at stake here at Villain Academy than I ever suspected. While I'm facing uncomfortable revelations at every turn, can I find the strength to protect everyone I care about?

Foul Conjuring is the 6th book in a university-age paranormal academy series. Expect magical villainy, a tough heroine who bends to no one’s will, a dollop of steam, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers reverse harem romance where there'll be no choosing required.

The Pentacle of Scions has some old and new ordeals to overcome

Both narrators once again did a perfect job. Love that the entire series (so far at least but I expect the following two will be narrated by these two as well if all goes well) is narrated by the same female and male voice (sorry, their names have escaped me atm). Story: Eventhough the Pentacle of Scions has been weakened in a most unsupected way (well the ending of book 5 made it clear but I mean unsuspecting for the other Scions), they come together the best they can to try and overcome the problem they now face. But beside that problem it is clear there is still something major that can either crush their Pentacle or their bond altogether or make it tighter than ever before. Meanwhile Rory is adjusting to life with a Fearmancer parent. At the academy there has been a major change in how the Naries (non magical people, short for ordinary, they’re also more commonly called Feebs after feeble) are being used to an extreme extend to boost the fearmancers powers. Instead of not openly doing magic in front of Naries (or however it’s spelled, I listened to the audiobook), a secret project has been started to see whether an all-out scare tactic with openly throwing the scariest illusions to them or even other real dangerous tactics to juice more power for those fearmancers. After the sessions the Naries’ memories are wiped, but they don’t seem to be taking to that treatment well, walking around dazed and all. The new project goes directly against the Fearmancer society’s and the Academy’s policy to not openly do magic in front of the Naries. Rory has her hands full trying to protect the Naries somehow. But it might be a loosing battle, when it’s clear just how far the Barons are willing to go to get a certain change, this project seems only the first in many changes to come. After all, they see the Naries as only feeble minded creatures that are beneath them. I enjoyed the story, felt like it all came together in a natural way, a fast paced story that got me hooked from start to finish. Now on to book 7!

Ooe the plot thickens

I am totally hooked on this series, what has Rory's mom gotten up to now... Especially since she has learnt her mother is not that different from the other Barons on how they treat their heirs.

Mother Issues!

Well Rory officially has her mother back but it's not all sunshine and roses. Rory will discover why her mother was such a powerful Barron in this book. The Barrons are scheming up a storm in this book. They are targeting the scions and the naries. Rory must find a way to protect everyone while still trying to learn her own magic. At least she has a breakthrough with her new mentor and will finally be trained the way she deserves to. The scions are still being targeted big time be the Barrons. I can't believe the things they do to their children. The scions relationships with each other are tested in this book. I foresee a war between the naries and the mages. As always Meg and Stephen do an amazing job narrating and bringing this book to life. I can't wait to see what Eva will throw are the characters next. #Audio Box Reviewer

Barons Start Focusing on Their Heirs

The story continues where book 5 left off and a huge player has entered the “Villain Academy” scene. Rory’s birth mother is back and assuming back the Boodstone Barony. It is difficult for Rory to interact with a mother she never knew. Considering the other Barons, I would have approached her with a lot of caution!!! Narration continues to be excellent and brings the story to life. I really enjoy having two narrators and they do a perfect job. One of the Scions has been manipulated (magically of course) by their parents and is not being themselves at all. The Scions have to try to work together to break through the Baron’s controlling magic to free one of their own. Meanwhile, there is a terrible plan put into motion that puts all students on campus in danger. If this is not enough, there is more brewing behind the scenes to escalate the situation. The story flows at a great pace and the author continues gripping your attention from beginning to conclusion. Thankfully, there is not major cliffhangers but we do know the Barons are up to no good. I’m looking forward to finding out what horrors the Barons have planned next!

I just love this series!!

Foul Conjuring by Eva Chase and narrated by Meg Sylvan and Stephen Dexter is the 6th book of the Royals of Villain Academy. Rorys' birth mother has been rescued and now she has to find out if her mother is like every other Barony parent she has met so far. The Scions are also under attack from their own families. But that's not all, as all hell has broken loose on the campus and Rory is just trying to keep her friends and lovers safe. Take a trip with Rory and her Harem of Scions to see just what they can accomplish as long as they stick together. This is a reverse harem novel and I recommend it for 18+ only. Would I listen to this book again? YES Would I recommend it to others? YES and already have The main characters are all of age and is set in a university type setting.

A book to get you fully engrossed

I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review. Omg I couldn’t believe how this book started out! So heartbreaking! Damn Barons! This series gets you so involved in all the characters well fairs it’s pretty impressive to see just how much you get engrossed in the story. There’s not just the bigger picture going on though there’s all the little things and politics it’s all cleverly integrated into one big story. Her mother is a very ... interesting character in this whole plot rather more manipulating than expected considering how long she was with the joymancers. There’s also a whole new plot going down in the school too. I’m just so enjoying this series and can’t wait for more.

the story is still sooo good!

when everything seems to be right where it should be,Eva throws in a new plot twist. the good thing is that when you discover it, you see that all the pebbles leading to it were there from the beginning. And I like that fact that even though there is a red string linking all the books together, each has it own resolution and it makes this series all the more enjoyaable to read/listen to

More to love!

Seriously, I'm so invested in this as an audio story that I'd rather wait for the audiobooks to come out than read the kindle editions (but you can bet I'm already buying them ready for my re read). The saga continues, the part of me that wanted a HEA for Rory hoped that mummy dearest could have been an ally *not really a spoiler alert - it happens in the first couple of chapters* she isn't. I was glad to see some of the ongoing saga finally (and simply) put to bed, very interested to see what happens in the next part with the 'nary students - it really annoyed me, so clearly Chase is doing a good job of getting readers/listeners emotionally invested in the entire world she has created. The thing with Connor really threw me - it was pretty shocking and was handled really well. The usual steam factor I have come to expect and love from Chase applies, too <3

Let this story conjur a great listen

This story will have you wondering what is next for the mates, at the end of book 5 Conner comes back hostile with Rory and his 3 fellow Scions. They don’t know what brought out the change but they suspended evil doing . Also in book 5 Rory mother was saved from the Joymancer , Rory mother regains her strength and demonstrated her evil side with Non Magical people . Rory tries to stand up to her and Rory gets a lesson from Baron Blackstone. No matter what Rory , Malcom , Declan and Jude try to help Connor he snarls at them . Do they find a way to save him from the strong spell Connors mother has over him . A big victory for Rory is , she lead her mother through hints to get the person who framed her for the murder Meg Sylvan and Stephen Dexter were fantastic. Their individual voices for each character was spot on . Very smooth, strong and clear .
