nice regency romance with people who have overcome great difficulties

I liked both main characters. the children create a feeling of sympathy, also being victims of abuse. the language was good for the period, the plot kept my attention. Too many evil characters

Many surprises twist and turns turns

Enjoyable till the end could go on due to the personality of all the characters

Lovely

Although the story started a little slow, once it picked up, I couldn’t stop listening. I want to give more than five stars to the narrator, who brought the characters alive. It’s difficult sometimes for adults to do a child’s voice. However, Ms Crick did an extraordinary job with Lucy. You could actually feel the vulnerability in this child, and also in Charlotte. Nick and Emilia became the characters they were meant to be and of course, love, won out and the four became family. I have not read the first two books in the series and I would suggest doing that before you read the third or this one. It would help explain some of the characters better, but be sure to read and/or listen. It is well worth the time.

Another perfect book for a perfect series

Loved it. Hard to figure out which is my favorite. Maybe the story with amnesia, the Marquess story.

Excellent job being female doing male voices! Great job all around as narrator. One of my favorites!
