Perfection!

I am so happy I got this book on audible because the narration definitely elevated this book even more. I wasn’t exaggerating when I say Perfection! The writing, plot, and smut are all 5 ⭐️s. This is my first Caroline Peckham, Susanne Valenti book and I can’t wait to add more to my TBR. I mainly read books on mg kindle and occasionally I will listen to an audio book, if you’re trying to decide DEFINITELY listen to this one. Narration is amazing in it. Highly recommend

Good story, mediocre narration

The story itself is engrossing, with lots of suspense and surprising turns. Unfortunately, the (really) bad and inconsistent accents distract from a good story. (BTW, Troy, infinitessimal has 6 syllables, not 5.) I enjoyed reading the book much more than listening to it.

Loved this story

I read it when it first came out and devoured this story. The Narrators took it to the next level. A mafia princess who’s part of a pact that the families came up with to keep the peace. She has to marry a member of the English family. Just listen to this story it’s got everything, it’s dark and violent but appropriate for the story line. There’s found family, laughs, cons, a little kidnapping and a very satisfying honeymoon-

It was…okay.

Let me preface by saying that I LOVE the Twisted Sister authors, but this story…lacked. I almost DNF, but pushed through because I didn’t want to disappoint C&S (as if they’d ever know).
I always love their female leads. They’re witty and independent but for some reason this story just always had me wanting more.
For spice factor, this book get 5/5 peppers, but the story? It’s hard to explain, but even with 26 hours, I was just left unsatisfied.
As for the narrators, I think they did a great job! Only thing that would make the audio better would be duet narration.
I don’t regret listening, but it’s not one I would listen to again.

Mafia wars best

Definitely one of the best Mafia Wars books I’ve listened to. I would say at least #2 in my heart lol

Well these two authors have done it again. Not only did they create amazing main characters, but they have side characters that just steal the show. Dylan is my favorite, I don't care that he is a side character, I love him! I want one of my own! Seriously! Who doesn’t want a man in heals who can clean up after absolutely anything 😉🩸

Anya is a very complex character who goes through so much growth throughout this book. Not to mention the changes that the men in her life go through. These characters have a very wild ride to survive (maybe) through to their ending. And there are some very hot moments along the way 🥵.

These authors might be known for their cliffies & if you are sad this is a stand-alone and no cliffy is possible, well don’t worry. Part 1 & part 2 each end on a doozy of a cliff for you to hang off of.

Bravo ladies, this is officially my favorite of the mafia wars books!

Enjoyed this book!

These writers never disappoint! I laughed out loud and enjoyed the characters and their development. Love the narration, especially Troy Duran!!

Overall.

This was overall a fun listen. While I prefer male voices be done by the male performer and likewise with the female performer, I was able to get past that. Laurie was more talented with the array of accents required vs. Troy, even though her voice sounds quite young, so it all flushed out. I will say I love Troy’s gritty baritone voice. Damn sexy! The writing/story was fun and creative, as to be expected by this dream team. What I did appreciate was the length of the story vs. how writers are now only giving you 6-9 hours of storytelling so they can come out with another book. I prefer investing in a good 20+ hour listen even if there is another release in a series.

Another great read

This book was great. I found the female lead to be strong, which is always nice to see in a story but she also came across like a brat at times. The men were great, sexy the accents were hot! Definitely worth the credit!!!
