Love this series!

The characters are truly people you care about. Always an interesting story line and well written. The narrator captures Des perfectly. My only problem with this narrator is that you hear her everytime she pauses and swallows loudly. It really gets in my nerves. Other narrators manage to keep their swallows and lip licking silent so I don’t know why Ms Guest can’t. Major cringe factor for me.

It's about time a new book in this series was released. Deveroux and Jake make a great team. There are many twists and turns and the resolution is a surprise. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Good plot

it was a good story overall. I like the characters, but nothing beats the scumble river series! the narrator has a nice voice but for whatever reason you could hear every bit of background. I could imagine her drinking water, putting her cup down. it was a little distracting.
