Publisher's summary

Casey and Death are on the run again. This time, Casey needs to make her disappearance permanent. After obtaining a new identity and throwing herself off the grid, she travels to Florida to begin life as Daisy Gray, fitness instructor for a moneyed, enclosed community.

But even while keeping her head down, it doesn’t take long for Casey to find herself in the middle of trouble. One of the residents is attacked, and Casey is the one to find her, bleeding, on the floor of the locker room. Despite heroic attempts to save her, she dies, and the community is thrown into turmoil. The cops are at a loss, unable to find anyone who might want the woman dead. Despite Death’s encouragement to “get the hell out of Dodge, or, er, Florida,” Casey feels partially responsible and won’t let the murderer get away with it. Besides, where else is she going to go? Is she going to abandon this life so soon and try to forge another?

Casey takes a careful look at the victim’s life. Who could possibly want such a nice, friendly woman dead? Could it be Del, the extremely muscular man from the weight room? Could it be Krystal, the victim’s so-called best friend and the resident hottie? And what about Maria, the receptionist, whose key card was used to access the locker room late at night? And what, if anything, do Casey’s redecessors in her new job have to do with it?

Casey must find out, even with Death on her back.

Don't fear the reaper. Listen to another Grim Reaper Mystery.

"Most readers will find themselves thoroughly entertained by this oddly appealing mix of the jaunty and the macabre." (Booklist)

Already downloading the next in the series!!

I'm really enjoying this series - as I said in the title I'm already downloading the next book (Dying Echo) and hopefully it won't be the last.
I love Tavia Gilbert's narration and that's originally how I found this series, I like searching for books not only by my favourite authors but my favourite narrators. Tavia does another great job with the Grim Reaper series.
In this book Casey continues her travels and lands herself amidst another drama.
I've really come to love the relationship Casey has with Death and the conversations between them. I'd definitely recommend this book to fiction lovers.

Looking for something else to read? Here are some of my other favourites:
(I also want to add that for me a good audio book is not just about the writing - the narration is crucial - so if I've listed something below it's because the combination is a winner!! I seem to have a preference for female narration... not sure why?)

If you like Paranormal fiction (witches/vampires/werewolves etc)
Anything by Jeaniene Frost - top of the list is the Night Huntress series. (Narrated by Tavia Gilbert)
Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones (narrated by Lorelei King)
Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs (also narrated by Lorelei King)
Naked Werewolf series, Jane Jameson series, Half Moon Hollow series by Molly Harper! (and of course narrated by Amanda Ronconi!)
Sookie Stackhouse - Charlaine Harris (narrated by Johanna Parker)
Garnet Lacey series by Tate Hallaway (narration by Amanda Ronconi)
Anything by Richelle Mead but I really enjoyed the Dark Swan series (narrated by Jennifer Van Dyck), Succubus series (narrated by Elisabeth Rodgers) and then Vampire Academy (narrated by Khristine Hvam).

Like your dystopian fiction...
Divergent series by Veronica Roth - awesome!!! (narrated by Emma Galvin)
Eve Series by Anna Carey (narrated by Tavia Gilbert)
Legend Series by Marie Lu (narrated by Stephen Kaplan)
The Host by Stephanie Meyer (narrated by Kate Reading)

Zombies?
White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland (narrated by Allison McLemore)

My favourite of all time though is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

Another Great Book in the Death Series.

Loved the book! The narrator was engaging and was consistent with the characters' voices. Now to move on to the next (last?) book.

Couldn't stop listening!

I thought this one was much better than the first two books in the series. Better story and faster paced. Loved it!

Can't wait for the next one

I wish the next book was already available. This is one of the best series I have ever read. As a character, Death is an unlikely source of comic relief and reality. The lead character, Casey, is running from griefand refuses to confront some very serious problems. I love that Casey is not homeless and living on the fringe of society. It's a nice way to bring her back to her own world. I can not wait for the next installment. Judy Clemens is one of my favorite authors.
