Sunshine State trivia buff Serge A. Storms loves eliminating jerks and pests. His drug-addled partner Coleman loves cartoons. Hot stripper Sharon Rhodes loves cocaine, especially when purchased with rich dead men's money. On the other hand, there's Sean and David, who love fishing and are kind to animals - and who are about to cross paths with a suitcase filled with $5 million in stolen insurance money. Serge wants the suitcase. Sharon wants the suitcase. Coleman wants more drugs... and the suitcase. In the meantime, there's murder by gun, Space Shuttle, Barbie doll, and Levi's 501s. In other words, welcome to Tim Dorsey's Florida - where nobody gets out unscathed and untanned!

dorsey perfectly overlays his characters of Serge Storms and his perpetuall-buzzed sidekick Coleman onto a story full of the Spring break shenanigans and Miami vice Mafia hyjinx of the 1980- 90s headlines made in Florida. I'm sure Dorsey was there, as was I, to experience this period of time in Florida as a real Spring Breaker because he Nails it so well. Serge and Coleman fit right in and mesh well into the storyline of a young son of an FBI Witness protection client that has mistakenly been outed and is being hunted by the Mob and a bunch of bumbling Agents trying to protect their careers as much as the young kid and his family during his Spring break trip.
Mike Mc has rated Gator a go go as a Florida resid

Would you listen to Florida Roadkill again? Why?
Dorsey gives you all the info in the first chapter then reveals it for it's full potential when you least expect it. It is not for the faint of heart it gets gory and twisted but fun to pass the hours. His location descriptions are so accurate, one would think he lived in each spot. lots of funWho was your favorite character and why?
they were all deep and well developed - it is a difficult choice. What does George Wilson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
his characterizations bring personality to each person in the book. the added depth help me to get lost in the storyWas this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I looked forward to having the story unfold every dayVery entertaining

Any additional comments?
This is the funniest series of books i have ever read. Tim Dorsey is about the only author to get me to laugh out loud while listening. I started this series randomly by checking them out from the library so i had to just get what i could and started with much later books, and i have to say that i enjoy the later books in this series much more. in this book Serge is very simular to the people he kills in later books for their behavior so that kind of confused me. The ending of this book also left me feeling kind of unsatisfied. even tho all of the books kind of play off of each other, the endings usually tie up all of the loose ends of that particular book, but this one left too many questionsi love this series but...

Where does Florida Roadkill rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Absolutely a book that makes you think. I like this book very much. An author that truly understands that life does have a "gray area".Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I wasn't at the edge of my seat, but I was pleasantly surprised about the angles the author took. This book thinks outside of the box. I found a book that sees Florida as I see it. No offense, but the state of Florida is definitely "special" to put it mildly. What three words best describe George Wilson’s voice?
I was able to identify each character. Everyone had an identity. Very well done.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reaction, But totally worth the listen and the credit. I am not easily amused nor am I ever startled or surprised but anyone's behavior, but this book made me laugh and had me raising my eyebrows. Very well done.Raunchy, and Hilarious!!!!
