Practical vs Pompous Approach to the Fivefold

I was exposed to an in depth study of the Fivefold, many years ago. Frankly, I had dismissed the pursuit of ministry because of that exposure. In the denomination where I served and trained, I was turned off by air of arrogance, self-importance and exclusivity which seemed to be the prevalent attitude among those who were members of the Fivefold. I did not want to be perceived as that.

However I love the way in which you have shared from a practical view in your approach to ministry; versus the associated conversation of pomp and circumstance surrounding the Fivefold, that I was accustomed to hearing in the past. Your perspective has provided great food for thought and has become the impetus for the stimulation of my appetite, to once again, become involved in ministry. This book has inspired in me a budding awareness regarding the meaning of what true servitude in ministry really entails. To experience thishas been the desire of my heart all along.

The “Servant Leader” perspective seems much more plausible and reading this has renewed my interest in participating in the plan of God for my own life experience.

Thank-you for helping me to move back in the direction toward the path of obedience for my life.
